Thirty minutes later, tanya came back downstairs dressed in an orange A-shape gown paired with black hairy slippers, which had a small white kitten on it. It doesn’t take a genius to figure out that she’s doubtful of my cooking skills. She probably assumes I can only cook basic meals. Oh, how wonderful it will be to show her that I’m skilled in many things─ including cooking. I give her a challenging smile before I set out to prepare a meal. Taryn’s eyes follow my every movement, making my body heat with lust. Once I’m done, I rest a plate of delicious pasta salad and bread in front of her. Taryn looks down with a pleasant smile. “Pasta salad. I love pasta salad.”

Letting out a sigh, I tell him, “Because when David and the wicked witch started dating, she criticized how much fat was in it and made herself vomit after she took three bites.” “Don’t let Cindy get to you, Tru. She’s jealous of your accomplishments and is insecure.” My mom taps Taran’s arm, “Taran really wants to try it. You should make it for him.” Taran smiles and goes along with my mother, “Yes, I want to try it. I’m hurt you haven’t made it for me.” I roll my eyes, “Okay, fine. I’ll make it for you.” They both exchange smiles, “I’ll have everything ready Friday when you arrive.”
