"I do. I just struggle to believe it." "Look at me Ezra. Please." He did as I asked, so I continued before I lost the nerve to say what needed to be said. "You and I were connected together by a goddess. She laid out a path for us that it seems most others choose to take and thrive on. You and I didn't take that path. We've walked so far down another that the old path is gone, and it's too far away to ever get back to. That doesn't mean that we don't deserve happiness Ezra. It doesn't mean that there aren't other paths for us to walk down. Paths that we get to choose for ourselves as individuals. We can't be the only ones out there that haven't finalized the mate bond. Your uncle told me tha

After that, the Warrior Path and the Magus Path become the most popular and become the only two Paths in the world, with all the others becoming lost. [There are only a few people in the user's world who know about the existence of first-class derived Paths, and even less who know about the Origin Path. However, any of these people could kill the user as easy as killing an ant. Furthermore, even though the Origin Path can only be trained from the start and can't be changed to another path midway nor be started after having practiced some other Path, the Origin Path is still useful for their descendants or even for their reincarnations.] [The user still wants to choose the Origin Path, or wou

She continued, "Very soon, your witch which lies dormant in you would begin to show itself. You were able to hypnotize that man at your shop because it has activated only a bit. The witch is as powerful as the wolf but more cunning. "What do you mean by cunning mum?" Lucia asked with enthusiasm. "It's cunning and yes, both belong to you, but they can be manipulated if you don't learn to control them. You should learn how to. Another battle would break out and your safety and the safety of some people would depend on how well you were able to control your beasts..." She said and went mute... She began to fade with the darkness until no trace of her was seen.

“Twinkets.” “Twinkets!” Triana shot me a shocked gaze. “Only witches of legend could see them. Control them.” I don’t think I control them. “I’ve never heard of them.” I responded flatly. Looking straight ahead as I limped her along the path they illuminated. She carried the lantern in her other dangling hand, since I supported her with both of mine. But the wind swirled dirt across our view so heavily that it made the lantern nearly ineffective. Clouds rolled across the moon making it blacker than black out.

The moment Hylda came into the picture and put Sadie to death the tradition had died with her. The witch's quarters looked old and worn down from years of neglect. Sadie was long gone by the time she had even been permitted to enter the pack house but she'd heard from the older generations what it used to be like. The walls apparently had a glow to them from the amount of magick in the room. There was rumored to be a large crystal sat in a well, center of the room where the users would replenish themselves. Foliage decorated the room making it look like a green house with work stations set up. Large wooden work tables covered in rare ingredients and spells books from past generations lay on

Someone in that dive bar had answers, and if not, I guess I have a way to let out some steam. Still, as I stalked through the quiet streets, the night closing in around me, I couldn’t shake the ghost of her scent. Lavender, storm rain, wild magic. It clung to me, threading into my lungs like smoke, and no matter how deep I breathed, I couldn’t burn it out. I’m sure I’ll see her again, I just don’t know if I’ll see her as an enemy or a mate. Witches and I have a long history together. Especially the High Witch.

Most of it went down her chest. “This isn’t working.” Sage cried when Nix started turning purple. Aarshon knew it was working just too slowly. Willow took a deep breath and then started to chant. As she chanted, she placed stones on Nix’s body. Over her chest, she placed an African Mystic Spirit Quartz. Then around it she placed Ammonite, bloodstone, citrine, and a few that Aarshon had never seen before. Once she was done, Nix was shaking from head to toe. The fever had broken, so Sage took the rags in to throw into the washer. Slyven came in to check on everyone. He had called Russell and told him that Sage was staying overnight. Willow seemed to be chanting faster this time, and Aarshon wo

’ The Warriors didn’t take a lot of time as they moved to the side, allowing me to enter, I didn’t shift back into my human. When I finally reached one of the small areas of the woods inside the path, I shifted back into my human as the head was dropped. I took a huge shirt with some boxers being dressed. I finally start to run, holding the dead head of the rogue wolf. When I finally enter the pack house Alpha Stan was waiting on me.

His wolf eyes burned with pure intensity, one that sent shivers running down my spine. I have never been more afraid than I am at the moment. I tried to reason with him to reach the human inside the wolf, but he was too far gone. "Lyra," familiar voices call out. His brothers appeared from afar, and my vision was barely able to discern who was who. The pain in my wrist was growing as Sage dug his claws further into my wrist. "Sage!" One of them yelled. I'm not sure what happened, but the last thing that I saw was feeling a human hand pick me up after getting Sage off of me before I blacked out.

She went straight to the second floor, where Quinn was organizing his books. When he turned around, he froze, stunned to see Sadie lying completely naked on the bed. "What the hell are you doing? Are you insane? Put your clothes back on!" he shouted, clearly appalled. Sadie was unfazed, and she stood and began walking toward him with deliberate steps. "Honey… I know you came back too. I was wrong in our past life. I shouldn't have ignored you," she said softly. She had gone out of her way to style her hair and apply makeup. Convinced her figure was superior to mine, she moved closer with a seductive smile, her gaze brimming with allure.
