This definitely will not be anything like Black Rock. I’m nervous as fuck as I pack up my wolf pack. I don’t like starting a war with my girl in the middle of it. I just hope it doesn’t get too messy. “Flyers incoming!” Someone yells. A pack of ten sleek, light and fast wolves come running through, heading to the main tent. I sling my pack over my shoulder and follow them. I get to the door and they’ve shifted. They’re talking to River, Bastian and Lucius.

"The amulet... it's not just an object. It has a power that many desire." We ventured deeper into the forest, tall and dense trees surrounding us, casting unsettling shadows. Suddenly, a howl echoed in the distance, followed by others, like a sinister symphony drawing nearer. "The pack is here!" Lucas exclaimed, looking into the darkness. A group of wolves emerged from the trees, their eyes gleaming with determination. Kessler, the alpha of the pack, approached the lead wolf, the same silver-gray wolf we had helped before, and gave a nod of recognition.

"They deserve to relax for the night just like everybody else who fought." "Of course. I respect your men and women like my own. I don't think anybody will interfere too much once they realize the King himself and Alpha Ross are here," Gerwulf grinned along with Ross," you know how they practically piss themselves in front of lycans." I gasped before I realized it. My eyes darted to a beaming with pride Ross," lycans? You are a lycan?" That would explain his size and pack name. Mountain Crawler. Wolves couldn't climb mountains... not very well at least. Lycans however could do so within seconds.

Something inside me tells me this is my mate coming. I stand up and walk towards the sounds and stop in front of the bottom of the waterfall as a massive stark black wolf with bright yellow eyes walks out from the trees and stops dead in his tracks when he sees me. Our eyes lock and Sienna, my wolf, begins shouting, ‘MATE! MATE! MATE!’. “Mate,” I say almost under my breath in shock.

A moment later, movement stirred among the trees. Three wolves stepped into view... two black, one gray, each larger than the last. Marcus's brows furrowed as their scents reached him. He could smell they were not rogues. These wolves carried themselves with confidence. Pack wolves. Strong ones. A beta… and two deltas. "Who are you," Marcus demanded, his voice low but firm, "and what are you doing on my land?" He shifted slightly, moving Dana behind him. His broad frame shielded her, instincts kicking in to protect her.

~. .~ Paws Creek was a lively hub of activity, and the visiting she-wolves from various packs stood out with their distinct colors. Each pack had its unique attire, making it easy to distinguish them. The she-wolves wearing pristine white garments were clearly from the Glacier Pack, their attire reflecting the icy lands they hailed from. Their presence exuded an air of cold elegance. On the other hand, the she-wolves donned in vibrant yellow attire hailed from the Sun Pack. Their outfits radiated warmth and vitality, mirroring the sunny region they represented.

Purity answered with tears in her eyes. And my own tears fell again. “You’re going to drain them.” “Not unless many will share a little of theirs…” Purity reasoned out. “They know what they are offering for her.” And then, one by one, more wolves came in. There were so many that I couldn’t see them all. I was crying and wiping away my tears, trying to recognize every wolf I saw that was encircling Brook. Hunter, Arrow, Zero, Rocket, Paragon, Millicent, Helios, Tala, Echo, Rain, Thunder, Serenity, Blue, Sapphire, Beast, Angel… and someone with a scar on his eye—Alonso’s wolf.

I say steadily, “Listen to me carefully, there is another set of wolves we forgot to mention. Do either of you have a weapon on you?” “I’ve got my Beretta.” Canary said. “I’ve got my Beretta and I have a switch blade.” Sin said. Thank the Goddess for small miracles. “Give me the switch blade.” I say quietly. Sin passes it to me, “What’s going on?” “Rogues. Basically, they are thugs.” I said. Aiden looks at me, “I smell two.” “Then this should be easy.” I smirked. “Canary, Sin, stay close. Fighting wolves is different than fighting humans.”

Damian's wolf was a massive, iron-gray beast with a thick, imposing build that could crush opponents with brute force. Rowan Seres Velden of the Stormrider Pack had a striking presence, with stormy blue eyes that seemed to constantly crackle with energy. The uncertainty gnawed at me. I flipped through the pages, absorbing every detail. The text described the white wolves' abilities in vivid detail: their capacity to heal wounds with a touch, to manipulate the elements, and to draw strength from the earth itself. These abilities were a direct gift from the moon goddess, who had created the white wolves to maintain balance and harmony in the world. The other wolves, lacking these divine gifts, grew resentful and ultimately conspired to wipe out the white wolves to eliminate the perceived threat to their own power.
