I rip my shirt open and I see water rolling down my body as if it's a hot summer's day. Something catches my eye. My veins start turning black , and like almost black blood begins to flow up to my arms. Standing up , I limp to the bathroom and look at myself in the mirror. The pain begins to double and triple - I hold onto the sink. The black blood or substance travels through every vein in my body, even the eye vein - turning the whites of my eyes black. I feel it flow as it leaves a trail of pain behind. My teeth begin to hurt and I begin to loose conciousness as the pain becomes unbearable.

I continued to squeeze. Its right eye – the one where an eye should be – ballooned outwards to almost twice the size of its counterpart. I could see the blood vessels engorging on the white of its eyeball, tiny splits appearing across the surface which began to seep blood, a violent burst of bloodied tears pouring down its face.

I wasn't a good mate and that's why I ended up here. The world seems to rotate around me like my mind is spinning inside the skull and my eyes are turned upward. The pressure in the veins could explode the blood vessels in my temples, anytime. I guess, lack of blood supply caused my brain to think stupendously. I opened my eyes slowly and waited for the vision to adjust in this dark room. Well, this time I found myself on a floor instead of a bed, after waking up from passing out for a longer time.

Wait, is that blood, I faintly uttered to myself as I walked closer to the cracked mirror to get a better view of myself… Jeez, what happened? I continued to look at myself as I noticed the huge cut I had on my forehead which I believe is causing my migraine. I placed my hands on my head again trying to figure out how deep the injury went, my hands cut through my face as I noticed other bruises on my face, and yeah, my shirt was different from what I was wearing the night before. I ran my head through my hair my pinkie felt a sharp cut, ouch, I only realized that my hair was filled with broken glasses, glasses intertwined with my hair, and seemed there have been there for hours now.

My vision flickered and spots of black clouded my sight, but I did not know why. It could not be grief, could it? That would be too humiliating. 'Lana Branch, you really misjudged him, didn't you?'

She turned, looking for a quick way to escape when something smashed into the side of her head and everything went dark. She woke to bright lights shining in her eyes from every direction. No matter where she turned her head, there were lights arranged specifically to blind her. The side of her face throbbed painfully and she could feel both wet and dry blood matting the right side of her face and her vision was blurry in her right eye as well. It felt badly swollen which would account for the blurriness.

I halted abruptly when the window glass cracked unexpectedly into pieces. Everywhere went silent, only the sounds of the crashing window glass echoed. How did that happen? I walked closer, to the shattered pieces and to my sheer surprise, a beautiful, red carnation flower bloomed from the shattered pieces of the broken window. "What the hell?" I picked the little beauty up, the pointed shard edges of the broken pieces tearing open my finger, blood gushed out. I groaned, about to wipe it off but something unexpected happened. The wound sealed closed. It healed magically.

Everyone around us gasped and I looked in the direction of the sound. It was Theo and he had broken his glass with his hands. I could see his eyes burning with anger. I quickly glanced at his hand only to find his blood dripping to the ground. What the hell?

One of a kind, one of them? I felt so confused, angry, hurt, betrayed and I just punched the mirror. I stared in shock not really registering what I had just done as the shards began falling to the floor. I stared at where the mirror used to sit, my blood staining the wall. I looked at my knuckles and in horror watched as the freshly broken skin bled, but my blood was not really red. It was darker, almost black. My heartfelt panicked recalling those nightmares that had plagued me, as I watched in real-time my blood slow, the skin begins to re-grow until there was no wound.

Laura My vision slowly returned, my eyes struggling to focus as I took in my surroundings. I lay sprawled on the living room floor, the rough shag carpet scraping against my cheek. My wine glass was still in my hand, but the red wine it had contained was now soaking into the carpet near my head. Or was that blood? I reached up to my face, feeling the heat radiating from my cheeks as I assessed the damage. I gingerly probed the bridge of my nose and winced at the searing pain. Broken, probably, but no blood.
