I heard one of my warriors cry out, with anguish in his voice, followed by several low growls. I sped up my steps to catch up with them and when I reached them my heart just about stopped. Zhen poked his furry nose out of my pocket. “Aw, wolveie, you missed all the excitement.” Zhen whined, affronted, before flying out to wind around Moon’s throat above his collar like a shimmering scarf. “I missed you too, Wolverine,” Moon smirked. When Zhen bit him, he laughed indulgently like it’d been a hickey. Maybe it was the wolve equivalent.

Her fur stood on end, her frustration evident. Without hesitation, Luna lunged at Alpha William, her fury palpable. She let out a roar of frustration and sank her teeth into his arm. He responded swiftly, grabbing her by the scruff and lifting her off the ground. Despite her struggles, he pulled his hand away from her mouth, letting blood flow freely, and gripped her ear firmly. Luna let out a soft cry of discontent, her eyes betraying her frustration. She exposed her neck to him, her wolf no match for his commanding presence.
