- Adriah’s POV - I closed my eyes tightly, desperately trying to block out the intense and agonizing pain tearing through my head. The wolf inside me kept howling, louder and louder, its voice echoing through every corner of my mind. It wasn’t like this before—never this wild, never this consuming. It was as if something deep within me was waking up, clawing its way to the surface. The sound grew unbearable, a haunting melody of rage and sorrow wrapped in an endless howl.

My forehead presses against the wet tiles as my hand movements quicken. Ah- yes. Sweet release. I collapsed against the wet tiles and spilt my juices out, tears flowing down my eyes. Logan turns his head, shaking it. He thinks he is too full of class to stoop so low as to please himself- not that he could but he never misses the opportunity to tell me this. The wolf- an animal who moves on instinct to maul everything to death is lecturing me, on class.

I gulped nervously. "Ally!" Now he sounds more nearer but nowhere to be seen I didn't dare to move an inch to where I am standing as I felt my sketch pad fell on my hands, never expected that I am shaking in fear. "Ally, breath and close your eyes." There I saw Kris standing a few feet away from us, the wolf looks at him and growled loudly as he took a step forward to me, my breath hitch as I tried not to scream, I know I have tears in my eyes as I saw Kris become blurry then the wolf take another step and I instinctively took a step back which I thinks was a wrong move because the wolf lunge at me making me scream.

She snapped at him, hands wrapped around Ivy. “Ivy.” She called. “Even the strongest alpha still hurts.” Her fingers moved over Ivy's face, wiping away the stream of tears walking down her face. They stilled as the moon hung down, for reasons no one understood yet. Then it came. The loud howl of a wounded wolf. Bouncing off Zeke's walls. The sound shook the building and the ground they stood on. Then it stopped. But just for a moment as it returned again, even more painful and louder. “He's hurting so damn much.” Ivy sobbed and fell on the floor, clutching her chest. “I can't breathe.”

“Calm down and trust him.” Kris pulls himself to his feet, looking up to find my eyes. I push down my horror and fear, nodding at him. He limps forward, one hand clutching his ribs and the other clenching into a fist by his side. Slowly, he brings both hands in front of him and growls menacingly. The wolves whine, the mere authority of Kris’ growl forcing them into submission. Without waiting, he charges at them but is only able to get one wolf with a blow to the ribs. Blood spews out of its mouth, and it falls to the ground.

I whispered which is what finally, gave Alban the permission to show his feelings where for the first time since we were little, I watched him breaking down crying. Pulling him into me and wrapping him in a hug, I allow him to cry into my neck with such sorrow, pain, and regret in his cries. Even the big bad wolf cries.

My voice was shaking. She was working over the baby, moving fast, clearing airways, checking vitals. Five seconds passed. Ten. Fifteen. Then the baby cried. Not a normal newborn cry. Something deeper. Stronger. A sound that carried power and authority and something else I had no name for. Every wolf within hearing range stopped fighting. I felt it through the bond. Felt the entire pack freeze. Felt Bloodclaw wolves go still. Felt the collective shock ripple out across the territory as that cry carried through the cold night air.

Calvin blinked and the green hue in his eyes disappeared. The sound came again and the alpha wolf recognized it to be the distress cry of his mate. Calvin looked down and with his heightened vision, he was able to locate Ivy. He smiled upon recognizing her but his face immediately creased into a frown when he noticed a cut on her arm. He looked at the people around her and he noticed that witch from earlier holding a knife. Without thinking, Calvin shifted into his wolf form and howled at the moon before jumping down. All the werewolves witnessed this and they stood in awe as the watched events unfold.

They will kneel, or they will break. Luna tried to speak, to question, but her voice was gone, subsumed by a rising growl that built in her chest. It started as a hum, deepened to a rumble that made the snow crystals tremble on the ground, and then erupted into a full-throated, echoing roar that was neither human nor wholly wolf. It was the sound of a chain snapping.

POV Alpha Xavier I left that cursed place trembling with rage, my blood boiling in my veins. My mind was in turmoil, a whirlwind of emotions I couldn't contain. Cassandra's words echoed in my head like poison, each lie, each cruel word eating away at me from the inside. Before I knew it, my body began to change. The anger was too much to hold back, and my wolf emerged from within me with brutal force, tearing my clothes apart like paper.
