Alpha Vargus yelled. My eyes widened in horror and Arwan flew up from bed, “Let’s go,” he commanded. We stormed out, and the sound of weeping filled the air as werewolves gathered around families, crying and howling. Heavy tears streamed down their faces, their bodies shaking with sobs as they grieved the loss of their beloved mate. A woman clutched the hand of her child, her eyes red and puffy from crying.
