Sweet Dreams
The first sip burns immediately it touches my lips, It travels down my throat slow and steady, settling heavy and warm against my chest.
I welcome the harsh burn, as I rest my elbow on the bar letting my eyes wander as I glance around the bar observing the whole scene.
There are two men in suits arguing quietly over something on a tablet while sipping from there cups, then there’s a couple in the corner booth, she’s laughing softly, hand on his wrist.
“I’m pretty sure he’s feeding her all the right lies… just so he can take her home tonight!”
Shaking my head I turn and I see a woman alone at a table with a book, sipping red wine like this is some sort of ritual.
