“Amazon isn’t talking about a place,” he said in a hush. He stooped and picked up the comic. “Amazon’s are warrior women, just like Wonder Woman.”
“Wonder Woman?” Patience sounded sceptical.
“Well, not exactly like Wonder Woman,” he corrected. “But like the Greek myth. Y’know, Apollo’s race of warrior women?”
“Apollo,” she repeated sounding increasingly vague. “I think I preferred it when you were being quiet.”
“Rude. Let’s get back to the poem,” he said. “It talked about the Blood of the Amazon, right? Who do we know who is like, you know, a warrior?”
