Then she found the top row on the far right. There was a small brown box. Was that chocolate? “You sell chocolate here?” she asked for sure. “Yes. We sell chocolate. But it’s mainly made by order.” Anna looked disappointed. If they made it by order, she couldn’t buy it immediately. Seeing her expression, the staff said again, “But we have some in stock now. You can have them.”

"Yes, baby. But I'll be back before you know it. I promise." Pascal's bottom lip jutted out. "But it's Saturday. You're not supposed to work on Saturday." Where had he heard that? Oh. Right. We walk into the gas station and Kayla says, "Pick your poison. I'm buying, birthday girl". I always have a couple with me.” She peeled away the rest of the foil and popped the remaining piece of candy into her mouth.
