A low, raspy whisper, barely audible, as if the word was fighting its way through layers of unconsciousness. It was a single word, fragmented, strange, and utterly chilling. “…Fire…”

The willingness to believe that the world was good. "We are not your enemy," the woman said, and her voice was not one voice but many, layered like a choir singing in a ruined church, each voice slightly out of tune with the others. "We are the unspoken. The truths you swallowed because they were too sharp to say aloud. The moments you looked away because seeing would have required you to change. The parts of yourself you buried in coffins labeled 'later' and 'someday' and 'when I'm ready.'"

I yawned and said, "Whatever, man. I didn't sleep well last night, so I need to catch some rest." "You spent all night with her, and all you can say is 'alright'?" Robert scoffed. "I've got to see what makes this girl so special." That instantly jolted me awake. "Robert! I'm warning you—don't you dare try to book the coin I bought yesterday!" Robert grew annoyed. "What's your problem? Can't we share the fun?" "I'm not joking around. Just leave this one alone. There are plenty of other coins on that site," I stated seriously.

They both froze at the sight of the two. Suddenly, Sophie felt a lump in her throat. She was unable to speak and breathe. Why did Luke have to appear now when she’s trying so hard to live her life without him? ***

I'm giving a background check of myself here! "Do you hear what they are saying? They're making too many noises." I whispered with a glint of frustration from their noise. "Them? The table beside us, right?" Maxine replies in a provocative way that she even points at the other table. Of course, I quickly put her hand down because it is embarrassing. "Ah because there is someone- Wait don't tell me you guys haven't heard the news yet?" Maxine replies with confusion. "What news?" says Ella "Is it today, Max?" Maine quickly hops on the conversation

I say and smile at him and he like always, smiles back. I leave out the sordid details of what the secrets were and why I left and also if I told him everything he would join the dots and find out that I'm that girl that his uncle has been looking for since forever. As always, some words are better left unsaid. One of these days, I'm just going to make this statement my life's motto cause this just sums up everything that's been going on recently "So, I've said everything now, are we clear here now?" I ask him and he nods his head.

The unspoken tension lingers in the air as we await the arrival of the beverages, the weight of unspoken words and unresolved emotions hanging between us. Despite the surface level of politeness, a subtle undercurrent of unease and uncertainty colors our interaction, the unspoken implications of the earlier meeting still lingering in the room. As we sit in silence, the promise of coffee serving as a temporary distraction from the weight of the unspoken conversation that looms over us.
