Rise Of The Broken Luna
The words sounded broken even to my own ears.
Elder Alexander’s gaze sharpened.
“Gone,” he repeated, his voice low. “Or bound?”
A chill ran through me. Bound. The word pulled me back to that night: the chanting, the blood, the way my own screams had echoed against cold stone walls as I felt the power drain from my soul, my wolf turning silent.
I swallowed hard. “Bound,” I whispered.
The fire cracked loudly in the silence. As the Elder stared at me, waiting for me to continue, the words came tumbling out.
