“Seriously, did you take cooking classes? You’re the best cook I know.” He shook his head. “No, I just follow recipes. It’s really not that hard.” Liz stared at him, speechless. “When I first learned to cook, I nearly burned down the kitchen. I ended up with oil burns all over my hands just trying to cook one decent meal.”

I had a feeling that it was going to end up in the trash can. " What about you, Miss Elizabeth? Do you cook ?" She asked. Dwain gave me a look, I hated this question. Of course, I knew how to cook, but the problem was that the food only tasted delicious to me. Other people who tasted my cooking left bad remarks. I couldn't get why they were unable to taste what I was tasting. " Of course, as you can see, I made these cookies," I said with a smile on my face. She threw a glance at the box. Dustin yelled when he turned around and found me still where he left me. “Definitely,” I muttered hurrying after him, while thinking if wonders will ever end. It turned out that the kitchen was stuffed. Every cabinet full to the brim like they are preparing for an invasion. Turns out no rustling was needed and a full blown meal could be prepared here. “I could do sandwich,” Dustin winced as he took out some bread from the fridge. “Well, that way more than I can do. I am a terrible cook, which is ironic as my mother is the best cook in the pack. But the act of cooking never agreed with me. I only got as far as boiling water, the rest is a disaster waiting to happen.”

He asks, his thumb on the Netflix button of his remote. "Let's live dangerously. Go for it." ***** Three hours later and we're deep into some cooking show. "I would literally cry if they spit my food out. That's got to be the worst thing in the world when all you want is to be a chef. Could you imagine?"

I got up and headed downstairs. ~ ~ ~ ~ The only thing I hated more than ANYTHING, was cooking and honestly the worst was breakfast. Breakfast was like a battle I'd always lose no matter how long I keep restarting. I still stink but what can I do, I have no choice but to cook first I guess. At least, the French toast didn't burn and it's looking thick. Oouu such a good view, the syrup wasn't bad even though Ryan got the wrong brand compared to what we were used to but oh well at least I'm eating French toast.

“Then why the hell are you even attempting this?” I shrug. “Because it’s romantic. It’s what they do in the movies.” “Yeah, and in the movies, the kitchen doesn’t catch on fire when they try it.” “I’m not that bad.” She crosses her arms. “Yes, you are.” She deadpan. “You are not encouraging. Look I can try –” “No, you can’t. Read my lips, Astrid Peter Volkov, you are a disaster in the kitchen.” She’s right. I can’t cook to save myself or anyone for that matter.
