First Class Male

First Class Male

“And when will that be?” Peter looked at his calendar and put a large red circle around July 20. “Man lands on moon, Legal Briefs lands in bookstores.” “That’s only three weeks from now!” Rachel was stunned. “It’s the new age of electronic publishing. We’ll hit the e-book market first. It’s a good way to get some great pre-print publicity. We like to move fast. Speaking of fast, I have another meeting in...” Peter checked his watch, “...five minutes. We have your phone, fax and e-mail, so don’t stray too far from home. In the meantime, start thinking about your next book. I’d like to see an outline by the end of the week. Sandra, always a pleasure.”

BILLIONAIRE EX WANTS ME BACK

BILLIONAIRE EX WANTS ME BACK

Sigh. Have you ever felt that you have to go but cannot make that first step? That is how I feel today. Cassy and Caleb’s story has ended, yet I feel sad at the thought of saying goodbye. I started this story December 2023, and since then, it has brought me so many firsts: * First book with more than 200 chapters, * First book with 200k+ words, * First book with a banner promotion, * First book with highest reads at 70.2k to date, and

Regretting Divorce

Regretting Divorce

DON'T WORRY THEIR STORIES AREN'T GOING TO BE LONG AS THIS. Well, besides writing whatever I wanted, I wanted to write an extremely long book (because these platforms claimed that longer books earn well, and since I have responsibilities to fulfill, I thought to give it a go:') but trust me, writing long books is really not my thing) so my book will be selected for further promotions and make me more $$$ so I could happily save and spend as I wanted it. Alas, the grass isn’t always greener on the other side:’) I learned this lesson while writing this book. Long or not… We're through.

His Book club

His Book club

“Better than that club, at least.” “Exactly.” April disappeared into the back room, returning with a stack of books. She plopped them in front of me. “Here. Keep your hands busy, maybe your brain will stop overloading.” I rolled my eyes but pulled the stack closer. “My brain has stopped overloading, work master.” “Motivator,” she corrected with a grin.

Clairessa started off as the good girl and ended up being the one playing both father and son. I'm not ashamed to say, I love it. Gabriel is dominant and I love him. The smut is spicy. I'm obsessed can wait to see what happens when Gabriel finds out the truth

FORGOTTEN IDENTITY

FORGOTTEN IDENTITY

The book found its publisher in March, through a process that was considerably less dramatic than the content of the book itself, which Killian pointed out was probably appropriate given that the book was largely about the importance of substance over performance. It had taken eight months from the first notes in the kitchen to something that resembled a complete manuscript, and another four months of the kind of revision that was less about changing what was there and more about removing what shouldn't have been, stripping away every sentence that was performing certainty it didn't actually have and every paragraph that was protecting itself from being honest.

His Tamed Wife, The Wild Heiress

His Tamed Wife, The Wild Heiress

he said. I looked up from my glass. "Something real," he added. "Not the things you say at dinner parties." This was a test. Not a hostile one—there was no edge to the question, no trap I could identify. But a genuine inquiry, the kind that could be navigated two ways: I could give him something small and true that fit within Adriana Chen's established range, or I could give him something that pushed the edges of what she was supposed to be. "I read fast," I said. "Faster than most people. I usually finish a book in a day if I have time."

Backup Plan

Backup Plan

It’s my fault, really, for not calling and making sure a visit worked for everyone. “Yes. Having the house to myself will be peaceful. I’m hoping to have this book almost done by the time you’re back.” “You can write that much in a week?” Wendy asks. I nod. “I usually take like a month to write a book, well, the first draft. And that’s while maintaining somewhat of a personal life and going to the gym daily. With no distractions or other obligations, I think I can double my daily word count.” “Just remember to shower,” Dad adds with a wink.

The Omega The Alpha Couldn't Kill

The Omega The Alpha Couldn't Kill

Why some packs rose, why others crumbled into dust. Light reading. The kind of thing normal people grabbed when they couldn't sleep. Or when they were secretly unhinged. She didn't consider herself a fast reader, yet the moment she opened it the pages pulled her in, each chapter feeling disturbingly familiar, like scattered memories rising too quickly to the surface. Her brain was doing that thing again, the thing she refused to name, where information locked into place like it had been waiting for her to catch up. She devoured the entire book before he returned. Six hundred pages. In under two hours. She would take that particular detail to her grave.

Frequently Asked Questions

Maybe I just went about it all wrong, but focusing too much on the "fast" part left me with pages of decent sentences that didn't connect to anything. Speed-writing sprints and those apps that block your backspace button can get words down, sure. But then you're stuck staring at a shapeless lump of text wondering what the story actually is.

My advice is different. I'd recommend getting any free mind-mapping tool first. Just dump every character detail, scene idea, and vague theme into one visual mess. It's faster for figuring out connections than writing linear prose from page one. Then maybe use a basic three-act structure template in a regular word processor to sort those ideas into some kind of order. The real tool that helps you write fast isn't software; it's knowing what comes next before you type "Chapter One." Once I started that, my actual drafting speed tripled because I wasn't stopping every paragraph to think.
