“Then we start new,” I said, kissing the inside of her wrist. “From scratch. Just us.”
She leaned in and pressed her lips to mine. “Just us.” I kissed her, slow and sure, and the world stopped for a while.
Until the knock.
Bella tensed in my arms before she sighed and sat back. “So much for a quiet morning.” I kissed her forehead, then slid from the bed, pulling on my sweatpants. The warmth of her still lingered on my skin as I crossed the room and cracked the door.
