And somewhere deep below the roots, I feel the system settling further into this new shape they’re creating together. Not entity and subject anymore. Not creator and creation. Relationship. That is the word I have been avoiding. And relationships change people in both directions. The entity lowers its gaze briefly. Then asks the question I knew would eventually come. “If I become someone… would either of you stay?”

As I gazed around the room, my heart swelled with gratitude for the relationships that enriched my life — the unwavering support of Hazel, the strength and leadership of Alex, and the wisdom and loyalty of Fenris. In that moment, I realized that misunderstandings were a natural part of any relationship, but it was through open communication, empathy, and understanding that we could overcome them. And as I embarked on my artistic journey, I knew that I had a network of love and support that would carry me through the highs and lows, reminding me of the power of connection and the importance of nurturing the bonds that tied us together.

but it's for the foundation of there relationship helping them to trust each other because right now all their is a sexual connection and I want there to be more than that as I continue to write on. All the best my little birdies- Dailyy.Alex03

I text him—not to vent, but to anchor. “I didn’t fold,” I write. The response is simple. “I know.” No analysis. No praise. Just recognition. That steadies me more than reassurance ever could. Over the next days, patterns emerge. Some people step forward. They meet the new frequency without friction. They respond to clarity with clarity. They don’t need me to shrink to feel secure. Those relationships deepen quietly. Others pull away. They become formal. Transactional. Distant. I let them go without dramatizing it.

"This doesn't follow any route. Not roads. Not borders." "No." "So, what is it?" I redrew one of the connecting lines, watching the whole map shift meaning as I did it. Every arrow, once I stopped following geography and started following relationship, pointed the same direction. Inward. Toward bonds. Toward attachment. "I think," I said slowly, "it's not spreading between people. I think it's spreading through what connects them." Isla went very still. "The mate bond." "Maybe more than that. Family. Pack ties. I don't know the full boundary yet."

Change their relationships? The thickest of the connectors looked like even an axe or electric saw wouldn’t make much of a dent. Some relationships were unbreakable, it seemed. Others were unravelling before my eyes. I had no idea what they represented. Something as simple as annoyance fading away, or maybe a warmth slowly lost. It would take a million years to figure it all out, and even longer to work out how to use it to my advantage. It was so engrossing, I almost forgot I was flying around the room. That was the least amazing part of it.
