Xander could feel his heart pounding in his chest, but he knew he had to stand his ground. With a roar of anger, Xander charged at the nearest man, throwing a powerful punch. The man's head snapped back, and he crumpled to the ground, unconscious. The other men stared at Xander in shock, but he didn't give them time to react. He turned and punched another man, sending him reeling. The others scrambled to their feet, but Xander was a whirlwind of fury. He hit them with a barrage of punches, and one by one, they went down. Within moments, the room was silent, and the only sound was the harsh breathing of Xander.

I stare up at the ceiling, the pale winter light casting long shadows across the room. "I was deployed with my Pararescue unit. We got a scrambled distress call. An F-16 pilot had been hit by a surface-to-air missile, identical to the one you just faced. He managed to eject, but he came down deep inside a heavily fortified enemy sector.” Xander tenses in my arms, his breathing turning shallow as he listens, instantly putting himself in that pilot's seat. "We flew in on a Pave Hawk chopper under heavy anti-aircraft fire…” I continue, my chest tightening.

the freckled male countered. “Fucking shit talker. Better live up to your damn sass,” the alpha growled before launching a telegraphed right hook. It was a fatal flaw Lexus had. If you knew how to rile him just right, he would fall back on outmatched strength instead of his tactics.

He was an enemy, and as such I intended to treat him like one. I started to retaliate, even though he didn’t give me many chances to. Xavier was a hardened warrior, and each move he made seemed intentional, economical. There were no wasted jabs and slashes, because with each he ensured that I remained on the defensive. If I were to describe his fighting style, I would call it a flood because of the quick work he was making of me. I felt overwhelmed, and the worst part of it all was that he didn’t even look winded.

Another beauty to add to my collection. It's one of only ten cars made in the world and can go from zero to 330km/hr in just 23.9 seconds. This is my life. Fast cars. Fast women. More money than I know what to do with and on most days not a care in the world. I’ve worked hard to be where I am. When I made it big, I took my best friends along for the ride. They are now each CEO's of their own companies but you wouldn’t say looking at them gushing at a car they could each afford on their own. I guess
