He was eating his apple while scrolling through the news. Xander didn't say anything at first, he was walking up and down the room hoping that Drake would finally pay attention to him but he didn't and this infuriated him the more so he went ahead, grabbed the apple he was eating and slammed it against the wall.

The warm water felt great, erasing the dust on my walk through the pack, relieving my aching muscles. After changing into a comfortable cream-colored dress, I stepped out of the bathroom feeling much lighter. When I entered the bedroom, I found Xander sitting near the window. His dark hair was damped from his own shower. He lifted his gaze from the book in his hand. "There you are." I smiled. "What are you reading?" He carried out the heavy hardcover book. "I found this in Father's old library." As I walked over, curiosity sprung to life in me. "It's about the history of Nightmare Pack."

"Bianca, are you a monster? I was the one who got pranked by drinking piss at our wedding, yet you want me to apologize to the culprit?" A hint of shiftiness flashed across Bianca's gaze, but the very next second, Xander clutched his forehead and fell into her arms, saying feebly, "I feel really dizzy! Am I going to die? Bianca, I feel really terrible! I think my depression is flaring up again!" He trembled and looked at Bianca helplessly.

I reached home and found Xander waiting for me. . “Where the hell were you?”, He shouted, looking at me with concern. “I went to the restaurant and found that you had already left from there.” He added and then furrowed his eyebrow and nose. “You stink! Yuck.” . “Yeah! I am going to have a shower.”, I muttered and rushed toward my room. By the time I came back, Xander was waiting for me. I was about to open my mouth, but something else caught my attention. Xander was watching the news on TV and the reporter was saying about the mysterious killer, who sucked all the blood of the dead people. And the most surprising thing was those were those persons who were going to hurt me.

Xander cheered happily and kept his arms wrapped around Calix. I grabbed my phone from my bag right away and muted the video call with Sapphire, who’s still sound asleep. “Uncle, I was at the hospital earlier!” Xander recounted. “I’ve been staying here for a long time.” Xander counted on his fingers, then raised both hands. “This is how many days I stayed here!” “To let the doctor be certain you’ll get well,” Calix said to him. “I was bored in the room there. I was just lying down. I didn’t have any toys. Ah! Uncle Harrison gave me a toy!”

I mumbled. Xander had a cool demeanor to my surprise, without a word, he got down on the floor and wobbled beneath the bed. At first, I was worried, his buffed muscles won't give him that chance. But he wiggled like a worm and fitted into it perfectly. I ran hurriedly into the restroom, made a quick noise with the faucet. Had my hands wet for effect and opened the door. “What happened to your dad?” She inquired, her eyes scanning the room behind.

Mira’s handiwork, obviously, though Carolina couldn’t tell if it was intended as flattery or warning. Xander found her in the bodega, fiddling with eggs, his hair tied back in the lazy knot that meant he’d barely slept. He wore a T-shirt spotted with bleach and blood, and he looked banged up but happy. “You left the monsters hungry,” he stage-whispered, picking up a pack of cigarettes and tossing it into her basket. “I trust their predatory instincts,” Carolina replied. “Besides, they’re getting fat.” “Like their alpha.”

I gasped, my voice a wreck. "In the shade," Julian said, nodding toward a small tent made of parachutes. "He’s fine, Sara. Sleeping like he didn't just survive the end of the world." I looked around, my heart pounding. "Xander? Where is Xander?" Julian pointed toward the water's edge. Xander was standing in the surf, his back to me. He was wearing a tattered shirt, his hair a mess of salt and sand. He looked... normal. No violet eyes. No glowing veins. Just a man.

I appreciated it before I went upstairs to my room to get my bag. Rick drives us to the hospital. We came into Xander’s private ward and met Xander already out of the hospital gown wearing a jeans and V Neck shirt. I must admit he looks hot In it. He was impatiently waiting to be discharged. “I have been waiting for you guys. Can I go now?”. Xander asked and stood up from the sofa. It was then it clicked to me that he wasn’t even on the bed. Like seriously does this guy know that he nearly died? I asked myself.
