"Yes. It takes about 5-6 songs in my playlist." Vernon raised a brow, disbelieving. "It's true! Go on, play a song." So he did. The next thing I knew, DAY6's When You Love Someone is competing with the raindrops. We walked in growing silence, passing from one neighborhood to another, listening to Vernon's playlist, and eyes wandering but never meeting each other. At some point, we laughed together at the sound of a couple fighting, then the rain had gone cruel, and Vernon had pulled me closer to him while the umbrella was unequally extended to my shoulder. It was cold and I was worrying that he might be getting drenched, but for that night, I could not bring myself to speak.

I'm so inlove with this book. It's like a work of art. I'm inlove with the way you put up words and the story is also so unique--not the typical teen romance drama. I'm looking forward to what happens next??

THE POPSTAR’S BODYGUARD

THE POPSTAR’S BODYGUARD

The Spotlight NEO’S POV The crowd roared. Shouting my name on top of their voices. You would think the life of a pop star was all fun and games until you stood on stage exhausted, but still expected to perform. The stadium was packed and sold out. Everyone wanted to see the popular Neo who topped the charts and broke music records perform. And I gave them what they paid for. Until I locked eyes with someone in the crowd. He stood still, too still, watching, unmoving just watching me intently. A chill ran down my spine and my voice hitched. My band quickly covered me. That was part of a celebrity’s life that no one told you about. No mistakes were allowed. One mistake could cost you your enti

Poppie

Poppie

Austin put the juice on the counter and picked up a cup to make himself a drink. “So how you know Mike and Shayla?” “Shit, me and Shayla go way back, she’s like my sister.” “Oh, I know you. You’re Poppie, the one Mike has been telling me about. You grew up with Shayla right?” “Yup, that’s me. How you know Mike?” “Mike is my nigga, we went to school together.” “Oh ok, that’s cool.” “Cheers,” he said, holding up his cup. We clinked cups and took a sip.

to the entire group. I take several deeper breaths, knowing there’s no time to back down or cower in fear. “You’re Ophelia Lane. You’ve got this. You’ve put your heart and soul into every performance, song, and your life. Just go out there and show them exactly what you’re capable of. Being that popstar.” I close my eyes and picture Asher in the audience, cheering above all the rest, standing with my friends and family, all the people who’ve helped me grow and change during these months of uncertainty.

The Billionaire's Popstar

I can also pay half of the amount I borrowed from Livius. I borrowed money from him when Mom was hospitalized last month. She was involved in a tricycle accident. We had nothing then so I covered my face to borrow money to pay. Livius offered to pay the bills. But I refused. He already helped us a lot of times. In the end, he just let me do what he wanted to happen. The music started. I shared the sight with the audience. Where is Livius now? Did I think they were close? "Share my life, take me for what I am. 'Cause I'll never change all my colors for you ..." The first lines of the song' I Have Nothing 'by the popular Whitney Houston made the crowd go wilder.

The Popular Project

The Popular Project

You are a genius, Taylor! With a sudden spark of evil inspiration only of the Taylor Crewman kind, I knew exactly what my junior year project was gonna be. I opened a fresh file and started typing. "Populars! You'll mostly find these sets of people in learning institutions, young adult novels and cheesy teen movies. But has anyone ever sat down and wondered how they became so?

Pandora

Pandora

Another day of the same routine since I'm 12 years old. But wait, I didn't even introduce myself, I'm sorry. Well, my name is Pandora Vaughn, I'm 17 years old, I'm 5 feet 3 inches tall, and I'm in my senior year of high school. My parents are Charlie Vaughn and Melissa Vaughn, my younger sisters are called Shopie Vaughn and Charlotte Vaughn. Now that I've introduced myself, I need to run and take these groceries to my mom. - At Vaughn’s house -

I mutter under my breath, moving toward the boxes. I open the veggie deluxe and the smell intensifies. It's still warm, cheese perfectly melted, vegetables roasted just right. My favorite. I take a slice, telling myself it's not giving in. It's just being practical. The pizza is here, I'm hungry, wasting food is irresponsible. This doesn't mean anything. From behind Liam's closed door, I can hear the music more clearly now—definitely classical. Piano with strings, something melancholy and beautiful. Something I wouldn't have expected from the cocky guy who showed up with professional movers and designer furniture.

Exhale

Exhale

The lead paramedic froze as his radio crackled to life. “Dispatch to all units, we’re receiving multiple reports of unexplained collapses across Midtown. Additional crews are responding.” He frowned. “What do you mean, multiple?” The radio hissed. “Negative on cause. Reports still coming in.” Almost at the same moment, phones all along the street vibrated. People frowned as they reached into their pockets. No emergency alert. No breaking news. No weather warning. Just two words from an unknown sender. LOOK UP. Almost instinctively, dozens of heads tilted toward the cloudless morning sky.
