I opened my mouth to counter that, half wondering why Ace hadn't said anything yet. "Of course, not!" Another voice beat me to it. I turned sharply to see Xander descending the stairs. My gaze strayed down his body and my pulse quickened. He was clad in sweatpants and a tank top that emphasized his long athletic legs, and broad chest. My mouth went dry. This was the first time I was seeing him in something less casual. "When did you get here, Andy?" He asked as he walked closer to us. His gaze flicked towards my direction and I wrenched mine away from his, mentally slapping myself for getting so carried away.

The driver’s face was swollen up from the beating, and he stared at Kayson viciously as he replied, “Logan Zabinski.” Kayson nodded and said, “I heard from Mr. Walton Sr. that you said I’ll die if we don’t release you? Who do you work for?” Logan stared at Kayson and replied, “I work for Mr. Xander Campbell!” Kayson did not know him, but Bradley frowned and said, “Xander Campbell? When did we offend him?” He then explained to Kayson, “Xander is a famous entrepreneur in Clouspring. He has many companies under his name, and all of them are large corporations.

Panic flares hot through my chest, and a hysterical breakdown threatens to overwhelm me. If I weren’t scared out of my mind, I’d actually appreciate how attractive Xander is. He has longish, dark brown hair, and strands fall over his forehead, making him look like one of the bad boys Papa Rocky Ace always warned me about. His eyes are brown with golden flecks giving me the impression he’s a jokester. He’s not dressed in a suit like Olga’s other guards but is wearing black cargo pants, a black t-shirt, and boots. There are tattoos on the back of his hands running all the way up his forearms, where I can see his veins snaking beneath his skin.

Kane corrected him, "Xander Zane is dead. He goes by Nathan Hart now. That's his only identity. Stop calling him Mr. Zane. Don't anger him again." Keith slapped himself. "Let me slap myself. I'll be careful in the future." Kane looked at Keith. "Are you about the same age as Xander?" Keith responded, "Yes." Kane sighed, "I wonder if he can be as energetic as you in the future." Keith said, "He can. He definitely can." Kane was not sure. "Can he?" He thought, 'I don't know if he can. But I can only do my best. Whether he can be energetic or not, it depends on fate.'

ATHENA'S POV Xander Knight towers over me, looking at me with his piercing gaze, clenching his jaw so tightly that I can see the muscles twitching. He looks every bit the ruthless billionaire the media and tabloid always paint him to be; so commanding, and very dangerously composed. Let me not even talk about his looks. But behind that all that outward appearance, I can feel the rage trying to jump out of the surface.
