The Breakfast Club' is one of those classic 80s films that just sticks with you. It follows five high school students stuck in detention together, each representing a different stereotype. There's Andy, the jock who's under pressure from his dad; Claire, the popular princess who feels trapped by her image; Brian, the brainy kid cracking under academic expectations; Allison, the weird loner who hides behind silence; and Bender, the rebellious bad boy with a rough home life.
What I love about this movie is how these seemingly different kids peel back their layers throughout the day. By the end, they realize they’re more alike than they thought. It’s a raw, funny, and sometimes heartbreaking look at teenage struggles. That final scene where they walk away, changed but still unsure of the future? Gets me every time.
