"Whoa, you need to slow down on your drink," he advised.
"Leave me be, let me drown my sorrows," I replied stubbornly.
"No, we need you to be alert now more than ever," Xena insisted.
"I wish I had never had a mate," I lamented.
Xena shook his head, offering a reassuring tone. "Of course, you don't mean that."
