Xenia—the woman who was supposed to be my mate, my other half—had chosen someone else. She was with Marrylen, and even though I could feel it, a part of me refused to believe it. She snickers. "That- That was from anger!" She pierces through the carton of milk and takes a sip. "What are you a child?" She gives her an unamused look. "What?
