When she saw Cissy, she shot her a withering look before being pushed into the dock and staring straight at the Council members. “State your name,” commanded Alpha Remus. “Xanne Maxwell, the only daughter of the late Beta Jace of Eclipse Howlers and the witch Xena from the most influential coven of warlock Andre!” it sounded offensive...

"I won't let them harm us." Aunt Cleo's voice sliced through the air like a warning bell, her words laced with urgency and gravity. "Aqua, you need to grasp the true threat of the coven. They're not just ordinary casters. Each possesses unique abilities, ranging from unnaturally swift regeneration and inhuman strength to the sinister power to manipulate creatures and even people, turning them into spies. Some even boast of an unnerving form of immortality, extending their lives far beyond the natural order. And worst of all, they have the terrifying capability to absorb the powers of other casters."

The Helm of Awe covered my left shoulder and on my right was Valknut. Yggdrasil was in the middle and flowing from the roots of the tree was a wolf head. On either side of the wolf was a Jericho 9mm, Kiran’s personal touch to my Zeta mark. From the bottom of the roots, down my spine, was a ghost rune designed by Malachi with my name Jericho adorning the top of Yggdrasil. An hour and a half later Marcus was finished and I put my shirt back on. Tonight I would have to undress with every member of the pack present and shift for the first time in my life.

I glance at her. Her eyes aren’t on me anymore. They’re fixed somewhere behind me. “What?” I whisper. She doesn’t answer. I turn. And my breath catches. Xavier. Standing at the entrance. His expression is wrong. Too hard. Too focused. Angry even. He stood frowning, arms folded and not breaking the glare he was shooting at me. Uh-oh.

I asked, my muscles tensing as the first wave of enemy commanders lunged toward us. "I am going to force a continental Kernel Panic," Sereia commanded, her golden wings flaring as she floated into the air above me, her hands weaving a massive, blinding web of golden draconic code. "Xander, hold the line for ten seconds. I am about to crash their entire army's operating system."

Her dark eyes narrowed, filled with a sudden, razor-sharp suspicion that turned my blood into ice. "Nina..." Amelia whispered, her voice dropping into a low, terrifying pitch. "Why is Damien’s brother looking at you like he wants to devour you alive?"

“More or less. He was trying to figure out how to detect whatever was causing it before it became dangerous.” “Was there a cause?” Naomi hesitated. “There was a name of a gas.” Leonard waited. “Thanox.” His eyebrows pulled together. “Thanox?” “Yes.” “That's a gas?” “Apparently.” Leonard turned his chair toward the computer. “Spell it.” “T-H-A-N-O-X.” He typed it into G****e. The search results loaded. Leonard leaned closer to the screen. “Well,” he said slowly. “That's unpleasant.” Naomi moved beside his desk.

She added in a whisper before looking to Amy. × Meanwhile, Zachary had made his way to a grassy garden, probably partial from someone's uneven lawn, where he laid to face the setting sun. He had his almost drained laptop beside him, where he had opened up a page, booking the tomorrow's train tickets from Renné to Zürich. 'Katharina' 'Katharina-' he called unto her before she yawned, making it clear he had interrupted her sleep but she wasn't complaining. 'what is it, Zachary?' she asked.

Admittedly, it’s helpful having some staff left over to help with the Alpha’s being here. The Alpha’s having been selected by Ren, who he is closest to, include Noah, the Alpha of Harmony, Malik, the Alpha of Love, Kaden, the Alpha of Vengeance, and lastly, Asher, the Alpha of Desire, for no particular reason at all, other than he’s a calm individual compares to the others. “No Chase again?” I ask Ren, leaning against the wall. He shakes his head at me, to which I sigh deeply. I desperately need to speak to him, and I think he knows that.

Just you wait Ella Cortez. Going back, I extended my arm to him to greet him fairly into our friendship circle. "So, you know I'm Dianna, Dianna Zandoval" and he grabbed my hand firmly and shook it. "I'm Ella Cortez, nice to meet you." Ella smirks at Joshua and was pushed by Maxine "Maxine Magno at your service." "Ey what gives Max? That hurts grr." We just laughed at what happened and we looked at Maine this time.
