An animalistic roar rang out in the whole place and everywhere seemed to go quiet, or maybe that was just me.
I blinked, trying to focus on what was going on. I noticed Xavier was there towering over me and Rivers State’s center. He had the girl who’d hit me by the front of her jersey, lifting her nearly off her feet.
His eyes were glowing under the gymnasium lights. Everywhere was quiet, which made his growl all the more louder.
