The Villain's Hero

The Villain's Hero

“Liam is a bully. I don’t like bullies.” “Mhm,” he rose to his feet and moved to stand near the wall of greenery. “You are a hero.” “Me?” I was astonished. “Oh, no. That’s Tarragon. She’s the hero. I’m just… me.” “No,” he turned back and offered me his hand. His palm was warm and calloused against mine and his arm strong as he lifted me to my feet. He smiled down at me and reached out to stroke a lock of my hair that had fallen free of its braid back behind my ear. “You are a hero. Every villain needs a hero, and you’re mine, Daethie. I think it’s safe for us to get out of here. What do you think?”

But not enough. “From what?” she challenges. “Rich men in suits?” Christ. I let out a slow breath, trying to hold onto the last thread of control I have left. “You danced with Kenji Takahashi,” I say finally. She blinks. The name still means nothing to her. Of course it doesn’t. “He’s the head of one of the most powerful Yakuza factions in the world,” I continue. “He doesn’t attend events like this for entertainment. He doesn’t approach women out of curiosity.”

Bratva Wolves Collection

Bratva Wolves Collection

Andreas introduces me, and this is where they turn around. The Eastern scents now made sense to me; they’re Japanese. The older male steps forward; he looks perfectly polished in an expensive suit, but I can sense a danger about him even as he tries to hide his tattoos: the slicked-back salt and pepper hair, the scars on the side of his face and knuckles. This man is Yakuza; I can tell by the way he tries to shoulder the weapons strapped to him. “Fenriz Vega, it is a pleasure to meet you finally.” He says in perfect English with a faint Kanto accent and steps forward with his arm outstretched. “Tsukishima Kaen.”

Love all of this series. I can’t put the books down. I want more of Kaia’s story and Kon’s too. Definitely a great read. If I could put 10 stars I would. I’m really picky about ebooks and what I read but this whole series has kept me interested and captivated since I read the first few paragraphs.

I love that the Bratva's storyline is not predictable, makes sense and the caracters act more mature and are not so on the cringy, immature, annoying side (although Lily was pushing it at times) just saying.

The Day We Said Goodnight

The Day We Said Goodnight

Giovanni Point Of View We took the bid cards and went straight to our assigned seats. We were positioned in the front so the host Death was also in front of us. He was a son of the Yakuza, Die Quevro. The name suits to them because they are feared in Japan and they are also the third most dangerous Yakuza in Kyoto Japan.

BOUND BY OMERTÀ

BOUND BY OMERTÀ

"They're the Japanese and Russian mafias, I guess?" I nodded. "Good girl. What else?" I reached for her, gently uncrossing her arms, then lifted her chin with my fingers. My touch lingered on her soft skin, savoring the quiet vulnerability she never let anyone see. Her breath hitched. "I know the Yakuza don’t take well to female leaders and Russians are cold-blooded." A smirk pulled at my lips. I stepped closer, hands curling around her waist. "You tried, flogista mou." I whispered the words against her skin, my lips trailing down her jaw. "But you can do better, can’t you?"

Engage To The Wrong Mafia Boss

Engage To The Wrong Mafia Boss

Others with thinly veiled resentment. I didn’t care either way. I adjusted my cufflinks, the crisp linen of my tailored suit a stark contrast to the filth of this place. I wasn’t here to blend in. I was here to hunt. And my prey sat right in front of me. Takeshi Sato. He was a Yakuza associate. Greedy, sloppy and weak. The bastard was drowning in liquor, his arm draped around a half-dressed woman who laughed at something he said, even though the light in her eyes was long gone. He hadn’t noticed me yet.
