Yelena Belova Novels & Stories

Emily Warner “Okay, before you guys start yelling at me, I need to tell you honestly what hap-“ “I can’t believe you met him!” Danika says, and I just huff as I look at Elizabeth, who wasn’t happy either. “Yes but trust me, I wasn’t pathetic and swooning over him like I used to.” I told them but they didn’t look convinced. Of course, they won’t believe me, unless I tell them about Lucas, which is something I just can’t do, “Bottom line is that I have to go to his wedding.” I say and they look at me like I am crazy.

The woman was breaking over her child, and needless to say; she would be feeling the guilt of her dying for a while before she managed to forgive herself. “Isabella, do you want to try and eat something? It would help your blood sugar rise if only a bit” Lena asked, looking at Isabella who shook her head. I went to walk toward her only for a hand wrapping around my arm to stop me, Yaroslav’s.

It was Livia. “What…?” she whispered. I glanced at her. Her face had changed, and the confidence was gone. “What is it?” I asked. She didn’t answer quickly, she just pointed. “Look… look at them.”.Her voice shook. I turned back and saw her... Yelena. She was standing beside him like she was born for that place. Her hand was in his. Her presence was calm but powerful. Her dress flowed behind her, blue and shining under the lights, brushing softly against the floor with every step.

Mikhail Volkov had already made it clear that he wanted one thing, and he would stop at nothing to get it, Revenge. Elena took a step back, and brushing her palm against the sensitive bites on her neck, she swallowed hard, "Oh yeah? Why don't you take my advice and get a test on your hands, because that will be the last time you put them on me again." Without waiting for another word, she turned around and matched upstairs, shame and rage making a merry company in her pounding heart. *** "Ma'am, Mr. Volkov instructed that I guide you through this yoga class."

"I know, but Damon…" My mother had suddenly appeared at the door, attracted by the brewing noise; her eyes had grown wide as she spotted Damon and Cassandra half-naked. "What is the meaning of this, Damon? Annie, why are you sobbing?" Cassandra seized the opportunity. She pointed at the pizza I mistakenly spilled on the floor. "Look, Mrs. Scarlett! Your ‘precious’ daughter tried to sneak in and attack Damon! She's trying to get obsessed with him! She doesn't want to accept that the Alpha already chose me. Your daughter keeps doing crazy things even when I'm the true Luna. I have been waiting for this poor thing of yours to leave him for me!"

I turned back dialing a number. Suddenly someone walked closer to me, she fell on her knees. “Please don't kill us,” she pleaded, but before I could respond she zapped me with a teaser and I fell down…everything slowly went blank.

Standing in front of the main server, typing into a control panel, was a woman. Tall. Blonde. Dressed in all black. And when she turned, Ayesha’s breath caught. Elena Vasquez. One of Davos’ top operatives. She smiled. “You’re late.” Leena groaned. “Of course it’s her.” Ayesha’s jaw tightened. “Step away from the console, Elena.” Elena tilted her head. “You really think I’d make it that easy?” Then, the alarm sounded. And the trap snapped shut.

Viola threw herself to the floor immediately and started sobbing loudly. It was Vernon. His expression was cold and mixed with worry. He hurried to Viola who was on the floor. “Don’t believe her Vernon. It’s an act,” I defended myself. Vernon’s emerald eyes shot a cold stare at me as he picked crying Viola from the floor. “When did you become this wicked and jealous, Elena?” Vernon asked, carrying her bridal style. “She’s pretending. She attacked me. Why won’t you believe me?” I broke down, massaging my throat.

I was extremely angry. Her friends were standing behind her, laughing at me really hard. I knew Lilith was trying to make me lose my temper and show my vampire teeth, but Samantha was quick to calm me down. "Do your worst, Aliya. I double-dare you," Lilith said loudly, a sly smile sneaking onto her face. "Don't listen to her. Don't fall into her trap," Samantha reminded me with a soft whisper. I stood up straight and stared right into Lilith's eyes. Just by looking at her, I could tell what she was thinking.

A living, breathing child who carried his blood. If that was true, then why had we been told, in no uncertain terms, that our purpose here was to give Alexander Petrova an heir? Why buy human women and keep them in a harem if one of his own already walked the estate? The questions multiplied with every step and none of the answers made sense. Helena must have noticed the way my jaw tightened because she glanced at me. “You’re unusually quiet,” she said. “I’m thinking,” I answered. “That tends to worry me,” she replied, and I stopped walking. She took another step and then realized I had halted. “You are free to ask the questions you want.” she said calmly.
