Across the room, every single faceless soldier went dead still, listening. ​White fire poured from Seraphina's fingertips as she looked down at the black floor. Her reflection stared back, but it wasn't mirroring her—it was smiling. Behind that glass-dark image stood a crowned woman Seraphina had never seen, leaning down to whisper a forgotten name directly into her reflected ear.
