CHAPTER 88 ZYLIAH’S POV I played games with all four of them until nightfall, and only then did I realize Jordan and his brother, Lucas, still hadn’t left. We had dinner, and conversation bubbled around the table, but I wasn’t an active participant. I sat as more of a listener, suddenly too nervous to join in, my ears catching only fragments while my mind drifted. Fynn was married? How could he do this to me?! I thought we had something real between us, something worth holding onto, and discovering he had lied left me even more confused and shattered.

Naki whispered out loud to herself. Blaze's mind went to a vision of Syla swimming in the lake naked. his arms longed for her to be in them, but then something Miss Mandy said Shattered his world... "She needs to be very careful with her phone, He doesn't know that she has it, she hid it from him when we were there." her thoughts continued as they listened to her. "Sometimes he follows her and watches her bathe," she said as Blaze growled, "He watches my Mate! While she is naked bathing?!!!" He was pissed, his anger boiling ore as he punch the table and it broke in half we all jumped back as it fell.

Zylia’s POV We had arrived back at camp and it was quiet that night. Too quiet. The fire had burned down to ash, leaving only the sound of the wind brushing through the canvas walls. I couldn’t sleep. My body was tired, but my mind refused to rest, it kept looping back to everything. The Hollow. The bond. Him. I sat up, the blanket falling from my shoulders. The air was cold enough to sting my skin. My hands still glowed faintly in the dark, the light pulsing slow and tired, like a heartbeat trying not to fade.

The one speaking was Dylan, a yellow-furred beastman, likely a canine. “Yeah, Clar, we’re all from the same tribe. You shouldn’t keep it to yourself.” Lily spoke anxiously, her tone sharp. At her words, Clar’s expression turned slightly cold. She remembered—this was one of the cannon-fodder characters in the book. Her good mood was instantly ruined. Before she could speak, Mae arrived.

Ife was pregnant and mated, she felt so full and happy. Duskin went back with them to celebrate with their packs but he had to leave to finish his duties as the Creator. Ife missed him but they stayed in contact through the mindlink. Her sexual urges increased the further along she was in her pregnacy so Alo and Farrell stayed busy at night pleasing their mate. Training in Duskins realm led to fun sessions in his bedroom once they knocked out everything on his list.

I didn’t know why I hadn’t been able to pick up on it before, but then again, for all I knew it had something to do with the fact that my father had been here, that his dominating personality had forced me to do nothing more than sit here and listen to what he had to say. Lyra POV Silently, Rebecca and I walked away from the Alpha house, toward the shacks in the back. Unmated females were kept together in a few huts at the edge of the compound. The cool wind whipped through my hair, bringing with it a chill that only existed at the edge of a tree line. My skin itched with how unprotected I felt. I had never thought much of it before being nestled within the forest of Yellowstone.

Dylan and Hayley were on their way to Slander's Fast Food. Dylan wanted to take his motorcycle, but seeing this weather a little cloudy, he preferred to drive his car. On the way, he kept staring at Hayley. She was so beautiful. She had pretty braids on the side, and had put pink eyeshadow. She looked like a doll!
