I trailed off, searching for the right word.
“Over the top?” he asked. And then he did something I’d never seen before. A small, real smirk touched his lips. It didn’t show his teeth, but it lit up his whole face, making my stomach do a little flip. He looked so good when he wasn't being completely stoic.
“Yeah, kinda,” I admitted, smiling back. “No offense.”
“None taken,” he said, the smirk fading but a warmth remaining in his eyes. “I have a… cleaning obsessive disorder. I don’t like being disorganized. It affects me.”
