Afterward, they applauded the two and erupted into chuckles. A few seconds later, Nics got up and switched off the light switch. Only the pale moonlight illuminated its way through the bedroom and faintly lit the band posters on the wall. Nics turned on her phone and smirked wickedly, “Now, I crave spooks people.” She ran to the crowd who has wrapped themselves in blankets and pillow forts. “Tell some weird-ass spooky urban legends or something,” Nics urged. “Is this gonna be a typical teenage movie sleepover?” Alyssa asked.

“My dear, you need to feed, or your wounds will just get worse and deteriorate. We do not heal unless we feed and then our skin regenerates almost immediately. The Vampire sat up from the bed, and walked to where he heard the loose and scared whimpers. “Gotcha!” Ambrose laughed, bending under the bed before he dragged the young girl out from under the bed, and held her up against him, a mirror in front of them showed the both of them. Her heart was low in her stomach, she was really scared but she tried so hard not to show the night creature that she was scared.

Screams, cries, and the scraping of shadows against walls filled the night. The eldest child grabbed the youngest and ran, darting through the chaos, heart hammering, lungs burning. They reached the edge of the square, where a group of villagers had gathered, trying to fight back with torches and machetes. But the Darkness was clever. Shadows leapt, enveloping them instantly. Screams rose, then were cut short. The eldest child realized the horrifying truth: the Darkness did not attack directly—it corrupted, infected,

And then— A child’s laughter echoed from inside. Small. Sweet. But ice-cold. Aarav’s blood turned to stone. “Who’s there?” he asked. No answer. Just that laughter again. And then— From the darkness behind the door, two faintly glowing eyes appeared. At the height of a child. But they weren’t human. Completely still. Completely cold. Like a painted image.
