“Mom, I swear I didn’t do anything!” “Leah, not now,” Ruby snapped, narrowing her eyes at her black-haired, green-eyed, 9-year-old daughter. I stared down at my son and folded my arms across my chest. “What exactly happened, Griffin? I want to hear it from you.” “It wasn’t my fault, Mom…” Griffin said, shrinking in his seat a little. I noticed he had a bruise on his cheek and his blonde hair was ruffled. I inhaled sharply. “You got into a fight?” I asked him, looking at the principal who nodded his confirmation, leaning back in his seat, he waited for Griffin to tell me the story. “Griffin Bernard Evergreen. At least that’s what I thought. In the next moment, his expression changed and a violent growl came from deep within his throat. The wolf’s eyes darkened as he crouched down like he was going to pounce on me. It was then that I turned and ran out of there. By the look on his face, he wanted to kill me. I didn’t know why. I gritted my teeth against one another and the girl ran into Griffin's arms, burying her head into his chest.

"Who the fuck are you?" One of them asked. Griffin stopped in front of them and looked at the young boy around thirteen. He looked scared. Griffin's blue eyes observed the boy carefully and realized that he was familiar. "Isn't he Alpha Noman's kid?" he muttered. Ava was stunned. Alpha Noman was one of the key members of this pack. So thinking about the audacity to bully his son really surprised her.
