JUPITER POV Keeping tabs on Grisha was as fun as it got. I still couldn’t believe that the little naïve girl with big-ass framed reading glasses was the golden phoenix who was going to bring us salvation and save the world from the hands of Anuka. It was still a very foreign concept even though I wanted to make deal with it. From the scrolls, Grisha would be strong, domineering, unstoppable. And the little girl who was not only 18 but also man-blood was really far from what was written in the scrolls! Well, except for her insanely dominating aura even though she was just meek, and pretty much killable!

Griffin had hated Nicholas for that, hated him for taking away the one person he had ever truly loved. But as he looked at Jace, he couldn't hate the boy. He was innocent, a pawn in the game of life. Griffin's heart went out to him, and he knew he would do whatever it took to protect him. Flashback: Griffin's eyes scanned the kindergarten classroom, his gaze settling on a small boy with bright blue eyes and brown hair. His heart skipped a beat, taking in the boy's features. It was like looking at a miniature version of Sarah. "Hi there, little guy," Griffin said, crouching down beside the boy. "What's your name?"

Instead, he asked something else, “In that case, will Griffin enter the secret place?” Elder Godfrey focused his gaze on Fane. “He’ll be there, yes. Although I don’t know much about the disciples in our pavilion, I have some impressions about Griffin as he’s a competitive person who bullies the weak. He’d surely fight for such a great opportunity.”

"Years ago, I found out someone's secret. __ Eighteen-year-old Griffin stepped into a room, his eyes scanning the whole place in search of something. A file settled on the couch caught his attention. Taking it, he stared at it for a while. "Maybe this asshole is going to have Diego's secret." His eyes flickered with excitement as he drew out the file. His smile dropped, seeing the content. "Sickle cell anemia?" he mused, but then the door opened, revealing young Jameson.

Griffin asked, his eyes showing genuine concern. Griffin, my good old childhood friend, had been hiding his true identity and sneaked into Aaron's mansion to look out for me. He had been there for me when my grandma passed away, providing comfort during a tough time. And now, he was offering to be my guardian. Maybe it was okay to accept his offer. So... "Alright, Griffin. I'm on board," I said, my voice filled with gratitude and a little bit of nervousness. Griffin's face lit up with a wide grin, clearly happy. "Awesome," he exclaimed, letting go of my shoulders. "Now it's time for you to take charge."

Griff announces and I nod, telling him goodnight and watching as he starts to walk up the stairs. I stop him, “Griff.” He turns around and looks at me. “You and Aspen?” I leave it open, not sure how I want to ask. His face scrunches, and he chuckles. “Mom, she’s fifteen.” He says and I nod, “Yes. She is. But she’s almost sixteen and sometimes girls like dating older.” I tell him and he shakes his head, “She’s like my cousin, it’d be like dating Randy and Finn.” He tells me and I nod. Accepting that answer for now.

Yael was quick in her questions and statements. Tiana looked at Yael with questions filling her eyes. "You're saying I should not be commanding her with words alone?" "Yes, princess." Yael simply replied. "But Yalck had listened to my words without… " Tiana trailed off, remembering that Yael said Yalck was different from these other griffins. Tiana gave a start at that thought. That was where she went wrong! She had assumed that this griffin would listen to her just like Yalck did! She was full of herself and She had totally forgotten that Yael had earlier on told her about how these other griffins were considered still young as they had only hatched from their eggs after the disaster that b

His senses were trying to locate her whereabouts but her delicious scent was everywhere. "No, I'm not allowing you to do this!" Griff protested but moved anyway. In the past he had paid dearly so he knew never to take Xander's threats lightly. When Xander was about to exit at super speed, Griff boldly grabbed him by the side then used his entire weight to lift him from the ground and they both tumbled and rolled. Griff had Xanders head pinned under his arm while his legs held Xanders body motionless.

Way to make things worse, Grif, I thought. "MATE!!!? WHAT THE FUCK DO YOU MEAN, MATE? WHO IS THIS?!" Chance demanded. I grabbed Griffin's hand to calm him. "This is Griffin, future Alpha of the Savages Pack so you better calm your ass down and show some respect." he snarled. I heard Chance gasp at the news and there was silence for a moment. Then I heard growls and crashing that seemed to last forever but actually probably only lasted a few minutes. Finally, there was silence again and I heard Chance take a deep breath.

I pose with my free hand on Brad's shoulder, keeping the elephant plushie behind me as much as possible. Luther is behind them, the corn dogs in his hands. He looks confused at first on what's happening, but he remains hidden behind a pole. "How does it feel like going to the NHL?" Brad smirks. "Feels very exciting, Brad. One of the best things to have ever happened to me in a long time." I answer him. We shake hands and he returns to his parents. They profuse their gratitude and take their leave soon after. Brad turns around and waves at me.
