Mason didn't answer. He just looked at me, his expression growing tighter by the second.
"What are you trying to say?"
I looked away and gave the housekeeper a slight nod, signaling her to wheel me back inside.
"Go back and find the original investment agreement," I said. "Check the handwritten note in the bottom right corner of the last page. See whose handwriting it is."
I turned the wheelchair toward the hospital.
"You don't even know who saved you," I said without looking back. "That
