The Rule
But Samarth lifted his arms and spoke — his voice steady, like stone and river meeting:
“O Sovereign of the heavens… I thank You. You, who in mercy preserved me.
You, who opened my eyes though I deserved the darkness. Now I know — You are God alone. None stands beside You. None equals You. You do mighty deeds in the skies, in the winds, In the turning of hearts and the breath of man. I lay down my pride, my name, my will. If You will have me as anything — A servant, a stone, a shadow — Only let me be Yours. Let me live now not for crown, not for throne — But for You. May Your name be praised in every tongue. May even the heathen know Your power.
May You be exalted in the earth.”
