The pain was so strong. A few feet away Freja stood in shock, watching as Zarek, now a huge ass dragon, rolled around in the snow whimpering like a giant puppy. She had never seen a dragon of that size except when she killed the Elder Drake as a teen. Everything about his body was hard and sharp, designed to kill and maim. His scales were a beautiful amber color that shimmered under the sun, mesmerizing her momentarily. Sharp horns trailed from the top of his snout and down his head and back to where they ended at the tip of his long tail. Zarek’s body was sleek but bulky in the right places for protection, his toes wielding wicked sharp claws that tore up the dirt as he rolled around. She s

he grumbled. As she was about to speak, she heard the footsteps of humans and the batting of wings from above. “It’s time” Alec’s mind was blown by the other archdragons and their magnificent forms, the earth dragon was a majestic golden brown color, like sand kissed by the sun, but Alec noticed the slight distain from the earth dragon as he walked Alec acting as if he was not there. The water dragon was a shining shade of azure blue; just looking at him was calming, he seemed to be the friendliest, he nodded slightly when he noticed that Alec bowed just a bit. Last but not least was the air dragon, he was as white as the clouds in the sky above, Alec could feel he was a little guarded but nonetheless he

The guards instantly snapped to attention, their hands dropping to the hilts of their longswords. "Halt! Who goes—" the lead guard started, but the words were cut short. I didn't give them a chance to finish. I channeled the volatile core of dragon energy directly into my palm, letting a dense, swirling mass of dark crimson and black flames manifest across my skin.

"This is Max's child! Isn't a color mutation in dragon skin completely normal?" Alice clung stubbornly to the claim that the green-skinned child was Max's. But what she didn't know was that Max was a purebred white dragon. His bloodline had never carried the gene for green dragon. Max's expression was stormy, his entire body radiating fury. "Alice, whose bastard is this? Who did you sleep with behind my back? If you don't tell me the truth right now, I'll kill this mongrel myself."

"I'm not asking you to shake hands with spirits, but I think getting more of a grip of as much as you possibly can before shit hits the fan will be in everyone's best interest." I eyed him and nodded. "Alright... but if Blue gets mad, I'm blaming you. I'm still just a kid." He grinned. "If I'm right, you'll be too healed for her to fuss. Eyes closed and dig deep." I closed my eyes, taking deep breaths as I delved deeper into myself. The image of a dragon began to take shape in my mind. Its scales shimmered with iridescent hues, like water. Like a Leviathan. I felt it swimming, twirling and sprouting wings, melding with other parts of my bloodline or separating them.

“This year… is the Year of Dragon Fire.” Silence lingered between them for several moments before Chris’s master finally broke it. “So???” Hua Yueren’s gaze darkened. “There is a prophecy concerning the Blue-Eyed Dragon’s bloodline.” For the first time, Chris’s master leaned forward fully. Those four words were enough to erase every trace of laziness from his expression. Hua Yueren’s voice turned solemn as he slowly recited: “From her womb shall come the heir of the Blue-Eyed Dragon.

I contemplated for a moment, only interrupted by Raja's voice. 'That is a dragon's growl, my lady.' "A dragon?" I voices out absentmindedly when I was just supposed to talk with Raja in my mind. "A dragon?" Prince Evan and Prince David echoed my question, they were looking at me now. "Yes. That must be the dragon of the magical healer," Demitri answered. "The question is, what kind of dragon is it, so we would know what attack should we expect." 'He's not my kind. He's a blue dragon. The kind who has the ability to manipulate heavenly elements such as lightning,' Raja informed.

Free falling from the sky, I couldn’t stop screaming. My arms flailed around as if trying to grab onto something, even if there was nothing to grab. Above me was a Dragon, galactic in size. He had to be as massive as a mountain. I had to admit that the Dragon was alluringly breathtaking. Luminous metallic purple scales cascaded over its entire form. Its wings arched slightly as they span across the sky. Its head turned down as it looked at me, with large radiant indigo eyes. When it redirected and started flying toward me, I stopped screaming and simply stared at the magnificent beast.

“Master, what would you like us to do? You need only whisper your command, and we will follow.” Evrah grabbed the wood harder, her gaze darting quickly from left to right, trying to get a closer look. She spotted a big shimmering black dragon that seemed to be looking right at her. The big eye blinked, its big frame fidgeting a bit. A huge black and silver mass of scales and muscles sat directly across from her, its ginormous purple eyes had her dead to rites, and they both knew it. “Please don't give me way,” she whispered, shaking from fear. She cursed that her curiosity had gotten her noticed. The dragon blinked a final time and averted its eyes somewhere else as if it had heard her whisp
