Caleb's POV ~ I crack an eyelid open only to hiss and slap a hand over my face immediately. I watched the tall grey walls of Blackwell, the barbed wire, the watchtower, the place that would now be Zane’s kingdom and cage all at once. “I am,” I said quietly. “For the first time in a long time… I actually am.”

"Tonight, little Raven," Zane growled, his steel-grey eyes filled with cruel hunger, "I’m going to ruin you completely." He didn’t give me a chance to breathe. His large hand wrapped around my throat, squeezing just enough to make my vision blur as he shoved me down onto his bed. I landed on my back, legs spread wide like a whore.
