“I don’t know how to tell you this,” he said, looking even guiltier.
“Tell me what, Gabriel,” I tried to pull my arm free from his grasp, but he held it tighter.
“This is going to sound insane,” he started. “But Zee doesn’t think your wolf is dead. He thinks she’s missing.”
“What?” I said, my free hand flew to my mouth. “You’re right, that is insane. I’d know if she was still there.”
