In the corner, a large shape shifted restlessly, letting out a low, rumbling growl that set my nerves on edge. As my eyes adjusted, I made out the unmistakable form of a massive panther, its lips curled back to reveal yellowed fangs. “Moon Goddess,” I breathed, instinctively taking a step back. The beast’s eyes snapped towards me at the sound of my voice, registering my presence. It became clear to me, then, as I looked into its cloudy, greenish eyes, that it couldn’t see me; it could only smell and hear me. It was blind. “Here he is,” Kai stated, his gravelly voice startling me. “The only known survivor to escape the Dragon Queen’s clutches.”

Zeus offered Dabria his hand. Excitedly, Dabria grabbed his hand and pulled her up on the bed. He tied the blindfold on her eyes. Once done, he pecked her forehead and walked away. While on the bed, Dabria quickly stripped her clothes off of her body. Once done, she waited for Zeus to come back. It was like they were moving in slow motion as Zeus watched everything unfold. Gaia had dropped to her knees with her face in her hands crying. The life in her belly was moving and Zeus wondered if whatever or whoever was reacting to her pain. Lucifer had dragged each twin onto his lap, along with a small wolf known as Aza, and sat rocking back and forth. He murmured something over and over to the girls but Zeus could not make out what. Taking a deep breath, I raised my head and I looked in her eyes. “As tradition, I, Alpha Ezekiel, bless your house as the moon goddess has chosen to reach her hand and guide Leonardo Sterling to his next life. He…” My voice caught as I heard Rose scream. “He died protecting his pack, protecting them from an evil that threatened not just us but other packs as well.”
