I could feel my heartbeat increasing. "Fuck!" Lorenzo cursed. "I'm out too" he said swapping swapping his rifle with his Beretta, he cocked it and sent a bullet to the head of a zed that got dangerously close to the pallet walls, with it's brain matter splattering on the pallet. The stench of decay filled the air immediately but we didn't give a damn, we're used to it anyways. "Smith try to contact Dave or Mark, Austin will cover your position" I said slapping off one of the infected that tried to climb the forklift with my gun.

Apparently, it was a virus only caught if the body fluids of a carrier entered your body. Brie glanced at Adam, thinking about his wound. What about Melissa? "Okay... Focus." She patted the desk and continued to read. Hopefully, there'd be something helpful, something to keep them alive. She spotted a specific article a stranger had made a few hours ago.

"Dr. Cloude, two more wanderers have been discovered in Zone B7." I raised an eyebrow. "The same pair as before?" "Yes," he replied in a hushed tone. "The man is partially blind. The woman is completely zombified but still conscious. She's restrained." For the past year, Hans and Winnie had wandered like ghosts around the perimeter of various safe zones. The side effects of the first-generation vaccine had turned Winnie into a conscious zombie, while Hans stubbornly took her everywhere seeking medical help. "Should we expel them?"

Their eyes were empty, unfocused, and they were both wearing a strange, hollow smile. The rescue team leader stepped forward. "Mr. Sands? Mrs. Sands?" Dad suddenly clutched the tin of spam against his chest and shrank backward, his eyes wide. "Shh. Be quiet," he whispered, his voice shaking. "There are zombies out there. Going outside means death.
