Thread of Glass

Thread of Glass

The bird regarded her with the blank, glassy-eyed indifference of a therapist who had stopped caring about patient breakthroughs three years ago. “You’re doing amazing, sweetie,” Zoya told it, her voice trembling. “Don’t let the haters dim your light. Keep pecking that trash. Own it.” “Tell her, Z,” Mei whispered, crouching beside her. “Tell her about boundaries.” “You have excellent boundaries,” Zoya assured the bird. The pigeon blinked once, let out a soft coo that sounded vaguely like judgment, and walked away. Both of them watched it disappear into the night in absolute, reverent silence.

Till Time Do Us Part

Till Time Do Us Part

said Zia. “I did see they were having a great time talking.” “Yeah.” Zia smiled. “Oh, look at those birds.” She pointed her other free hand on two birds grooming each other on a branch of a tree. Edward looked at the direction she was pointing and found the birds. “They look cute.” “It’s nice that they have each other.” The birds soon flew away. Zia began to walk again but Edward didn’t move his feet. “What’s wrong? Are you hurt anywhere?” asked Zia with a worried expression all over her face. She faced him.

No Birds Returning In Summer

No Birds Returning In Summer

Mandy York, my girlfriend, was practically a migratory bird that always flew away during summer. Every year, during July and August, which were the hottest months of the year, she would fly off and disappear from the face of the earth. She said that it was because her company gave her a special project abroad that required absolute secrecy from her. She was also not to contact anyone during that period of time. Even when I got into a car accident last year and lay in the ICU for two months, she never called to ask about me. Plenty of times, I had comforted myself and endured the harsh summer alone. One day, I accidentally saw the social media account of a friend of mine living abro

What if We Drown

What if We Drown

They moved about in circles, Ashlyn struggling to break free, while Zion chuckled mischievously at his small victory. Something screeched overhead, and Zion jumped, jolting Ashlyn. "Oh, Woah! Did you see that?" Wonder took over as Zion let her go and jumped down onto one of the large boulders framing the highway. "Did you see it, Ash?" Zion asked again, pointing out towards the shore where two cormorants sized each other up, their wings spread wide, while a fish jumped helplessly on the sand between them. All I could see was your beer gut. Ashlyn grinned, her eyes following the scene to which he pointed.

Chase Me: The Alpha King's Rogue Mate

Chase Me: The Alpha King's Rogue Mate

Dominic’s POV I woke up with the faint sound of tweeting. Though my eyes were still shut, I could still picture the creature responsible for that chirping. I couldn't mistake that unique sound for any other sound I heard back in the Royal Pack. I thought it was from the Midnight Nightingale, a tiny bluebird with a beautiful tweeting voice that could only find in this region of the continent and I was right. A pair of these ocean-blue birds dancing through my windowpane welcomed me as I slowly lifted my eyelids.

Awaken (The moonlight of Monaserus)

Awaken (The moonlight of Monaserus)

The birds all chorused as they flew near the bread. "You all should be ashamed; making all that noise!" Alyssa said with a disappointing look on her face. The faces of the birds looked quite sad. "Hahaha!" Laughed the hamster, he seemed happy cause he hated the birds. Alyssa looked at the faces of the birds and then to the hamster then a little smile came down her face. "But you all still deserve a bread" Alyssa said to the birds with a smile on her face. "Yahhh!" The birds shrieked with excitement.

Itzthalia Charm
The skill of the writer is unique, the plot is amazing ❤️and unpredictable and still very transparent, I love Alyssa role as a motivator and supporter to Darrell unlike other random plots where the female protagonist is waiting for her prince charming to rescue her from distress I find that pathetic

What do I say about this book... it’s so powerful. I honestly felt my whole thought process shift after finishing it. Such a beautiful read. With life so hectic is was great to be taken to another world and sink into the story. As always I love these stories and characters created. Always refreshing

Prison Lovebirds

Prison Lovebirds

In the end, with all the evidence stacked against them, they were both sent to prison. The next time I saw them was ten years later. At first, I didn't recognize them—it was Jonathan, now holding our child, who pointed them out. He nudged me to look down the mountain trail. Curious, I turned and saw Harold, aged and hunched over, sweeping the streets. Beside him, helping collect trash, was a white-haired woman—Jasmine. In just a few years, they had aged so much. But seeing them now, I felt nothing.

THE ALPHA'S ADDICTION

THE ALPHA'S ADDICTION

Dobah was about to ask a question, when he heard the shriek of a bird from above. Startled, he stopped his words, and looked up, aware that he was not the only one that had been surprised by such a loud shriek. Two white little birds. Cute things if he must admit. The birds were playing with each other, females he was sure. He couldn't help but wonder what two female birds were doing together on a high window pane. Shouldn’t there be a male to play a mating dance with them? The birds also were of the same breed with the same markings.
