Remember her little blue journal? The one with the leaves taped inside? That was the title.” Lena shifted, suddenly alert. “I don’t think—” But Lily had already turned back to her computer. She typed slowly, her fingers trembling again. "TheBreathingGreen." She paused before hitting enter. Lena suddenly lunged forward, brushing past Maya.

ZORA I closed my eyes and listened. At first, I heard nothing. Saw nothing but only darkness. But I waited, focusing my desire on the creature I wanted to find. Very slowly the darkness illuminated, receiving its light from the moon. The beam of light grew brighter, extending in a direction before spreading to show me a single purple clover isolated on a mound of dirt and the path that went beyond it.

A single, new, green leaf pushed out from a bare branch. A wave of clean, healthy energy rippled out from the tree. It had worked. But one page was not enough for a whole forest. So, they worked. For hours. Lyra sang until her voice was hoarse, pouring her strength into song after song of life and growth. Kael hummed, his small body radiating power, anchoring each song into a page until the journal was filled with pulsing, green light. Liora’s hands ached from tearing out pages and pressing them to sick trees, her Scribe’s soul singing with a new, profound purpose.

“They’re elegant, down to earth, and pretty.” Z snorted. “I find that hard to believe.” She opened her palm as the lavender’s petal started falling, and yet, it flew back to its stem even before it could rest on her hand. While she was distracted, Miss Merrylod did not waste time. She summoned an invisible tape measure. Slowly, it slithered past her body, taking her measurements. When done, she smiled beside herself and gave George a thumbs up. “It’s up to you to believe it or not. Last question, Miss. Have you seen what’s on the wrists of Zorphean women?”

This was definitely giving me a headstart on tapping Green's soft spot quickly. I turned to her garden, large and filled with several assortments of flowers just like my mother's. How she would spend hours playing amongst them, running her fingers along their pretty petals. In oblivion, I started walking amidst them, smiling like one who was enchanted. "Zeus you have to get out of there. Green doesn't like anybody in her garden." Martha's voice jolted me back to reality but I smirked.

Anthony smiles, his hand moving down to my waist, "You are exceptionally beautiful, Violet Daniels." A lump forms in my throat and I try to search his face for any hint of deception. "Don't lie to me, please." I whisper. Anthony shakes his head, "As I've said, I don't give people false hope." The room seems to get smaller as I realize how close we are, his nose barely touching mine and his hand still on my waist, seeming to be so gentle. I swallow and look into his green eyes once more to find that he was staring right back at me with the same intensity. Anthony pulls me closer to him and bends his head down, his lips grazing my ear. Blood continued to seep out of my mouth and a great pain hit my chest where I was floating. Suddenly, I saw a tiny flick of light. It broke out of the pendant attached to my necklace. A great light radiated from the pendant. It radiated through the woods and Zora let out a great cry as she was lifted up in the air. She was held there right above my body. As I watched, my essence was drawn out of her and back into my body. When the exchange stopped, Zora was thrown yonder with a great force. She crashed with a loud thud.

"I want to hear about feasibility." "Okay," she stood and unrolled a schematic, placing it on the desk in front of me. She leaned forward, and my gaze was drawn to the neckline of her blouse, which gaped just enough to show a hint of creamy cleavage. I forced my attention back to where she was pointing out the details of her preliminary design. Zephyra's eyes lit up as she talked about the green roof, her hands making graceful movements over the plan. I watched her as much as I listened to what she was saying.
