Their family was complete. Finally.

It didn't take more than a couple hours for the rest of the town to know what had happened to the Carrigan's family. It wasn't nothing new, but it seemed that rumours flew like trees in a storm. Richard had heard people mumbling about the disappearance of his daughter, about how it had been a terrible accident and how it was hard for them to look at their son.

"There are there major branches in the family and we all have a lot of members. You just have met some of them in grandfather's birthday that day." Hailey eventually sighed unable to understand what he was going on about and where he was driving at. She cut in. "Okay. What are you trying to get at exactly?" He pursed his lips but didn't seem annoyed by her interrupting him. He went on. "We have the major, minor, and subsidiary family members. Someone like Nolan and his family are part of the major family branch. They control the whole family at large and they mostly lead the companies."

If anything, we knew best exactly what it meant to be so close to each other. For now, this set up was everything we needed. After all, this was what it meant to have a family- to have people we cared about. For a little while longer, at least, it was okay to call this place home.
