Bruna's POV

Left with no option, I walked slowly toward Alpha Silas, frightened by the proximity. He looked irritated by my pace, but I had no choice. He growled, “Hurry up, or I’ll make sure you regret it.”

His words pushed me closer, though my heart raced with fear. The tension in the air was suffocating as I moved nearer. The Alpha’s gaze was intense, and I could feel it piercing through me, making me self-conscious of my body.

Despite my growing anxiety, I clutched the phone tightly in my hand. As I approached, Alpha Silas ordered, “Take the call.”

I nodded and answered quickly, hearing my little sister Lia’s familiar voice on the other end. She was battling leukemia, and I needed to hear from her.

"Hello, Bruna!" Lia’s voice, though weak, brought me a sense of comfort.

“Lia, are you okay?” I asked, a lump forming in my throat.

Her voice was hoarse, but she reassured me, “I’m doing alright, don’t worry. How are you?”

I tried to keep my composure, though the fear for my sister’s health loomed over me.

“I’m fine. How’s the treatment going?” I pressed, wishing I could be there with her.

“I’m doing better, just resting. Have they sent the money yet?” she asked weakly.

I nodded, answering, “Yes, I received it.”

Alpha Silas exhaled sharply beside me, and I glanced at him, realizing his patience was wearing thin. I quickly ended the call.

“It’s late, you should rest, Lia. Take care, okay? Goodbye.”

“Goodbye, Bruna,” she whispered.

As I pulled the phone away from my ear, I was startled by what happened next.

While Alpha Silas ogled my body, his fingertips stealthily snatched hold of the towel, yanking it downward. In the chaos, my phone tumbled to the ground, and I lost my balance, desperately clutching the towel as it threatened to slip away.

Thankfully, I managed to hold onto the towel, but I found myself sprawled on the floor. Hastily, I scrambled to secure it back around me, heart racing.

I immediately looked up at Alpha Silas, shocked by his boldness. His eyes locked onto mine, and a smirk spread across his lips.

"Gold digger, huh?" he sneered, his words cold and cutting.

“No! It’s not like that!” I gasped, scrambling to explain.

He raised his hand, silencing me. "Enough," he said, his voice firm and commanding.

I quickly lowered my gaze, my cheeks burning with embarrassment. My mind raced, trying to figure out how to escape the situation.

From the corner of my eye, I saw Alpha Silas lean down, his lips near my ear. "Bruna..." he whispered coldly.

My heart stopped. How did he know my name? My hidden identity had already been exposed, just hours after our wedding. I felt trapped, desperate to escape his clutches—but it seemed there was no way out.
