  The lights were off, save the soft amber glow of the small lamp on the table and the light coming from Shawn's laptop. He was looking really devastated. After everything, he had prepared to expose his uncle, Victor, and Norman, for good. He lost his chance, and he put Eva and his unborn child in danger. He rubbed his palm on his face and groaned. “I'm really sorry, Eva. I should have seen this coming.” He picked up her photo frame on the table and gazed at it , the image seared into his brain. He imagined how she's been treated and how frightened she might be. “Please hold on, Eva. I'll find you.” He stopped sulking and picked up his phone to dial a contact. It rang three times before the person answered "Neil. I need help. Now." Shawn said immediately. "Shawn? It's late. Nice to hear from you, too.” The person on the other end teased.
