“Maa, open your eyes, talk to me please, don’t leave me, NO!” Elio screamed awake, panting and sweating, feeling as if someone was pounding on his head with rocks, “Ughh,” the Omega groaned, clutching his head.
“Elio, are you okay, does it hurt anywhere!?” A familiar worried voice asked, the Omega rubbed his blurry eyes and blinked to see his friend Alwyn sitting on the corner of his bed, concern etched on his face.
“Alwyn?” Elio asked in a daze, as he slowly looked around and realized he was in his own cozy bedroom, but then again, the events of the moonless night hit him like a boulder, his heart rate became rapid at the recollection of his mother’s state.
“Maa!” Elio gasped, “Alwyn, where is my mother!?” The Omega asked, his body jolting in worry, he was so stupid, how could he have collapsed like that when his mother was bleeding so much, she was alive right? Alpha Ryan had come, he had saved her right?
Elio’s thoughts were in absolute splits, he wasn’t even able to hear what Alwyn was replying to him, he was shaking, incapable of any rational response, he sprung out of bed, his breathing uneven.
“Elio, listen to me first!” Alwyn shook the troubled Omega back to his senses, with a firm grip on his small shoulders.
“The Luna is fine; everything is fine Elio.” Alwyn spoke, his voice comfortingly loud, eyes clear and honest.
That was all it took for Elio to fall apart in Alwyn’s arms in sheer relief, the Alpha wrapped his arms around the Omega’s shoulders and supported his light frame, as the maroon eyed boy cried his heart out, he had gone through a lot in a single night.
Alwyn sat on the edge of Elio’s bed and pulled the still hiccupping Omega along to sit beside him, as he calmly explained the current situation.
The Council members had already started the investigation at noon and they were told that Elio and the Luna had been attacked in the pack itself, Alpha Ryan had explained that the reason for the abrupt retreat of the rogue wolves was that they had planned to attack the pack as a mere warning, so as to instill fear in the werewolf kind, which they accomplished and then left, when they felt they were being overpowered.
It was only the half-truth, but extremely believable.
Only the pack Alpha and a few of his trusted members knew what actually happened at the night of the attack, that the reason why the rogue wolves had returned, was because they were threatened by a single Omega.
As the evening fell by, the last rites of the departed wolves were carried out, with honor and respect, by the elders of the pack and Alpha Fenrys left right after the ceremony, promising to visit after he was finished dealing with his own set of investigation procedures too.
By the time Alwyn finished explaining everything to Elio, the Council was done with most of their investigation and were now having a discussion in the meeting room of the main pack house.
Elio headed straight for the infirmary to meet his mother with Maia and Alwyn accompanying him.
The Luna had gained consciousness just a few minutes ago and was dying to see her son.
When the Omega entered the infirmary, he teared up again by just looking at his mother wrapped up in her cast.
He immediately ran into his mother’s arms which were craving to hold him and embraced her carefully, while wrapping his arms around her neck gently, as they both let out tears of happiness.
“You saved me my baby; I am so proud of you.” Diana spoke softly, cupping her son’s teary face, while she connected their foreheads and nudged his nose with hers, playfully, making him smile between his tears.
Elio basked in his mother’s warmth, as he silently turned his head and kissed her palm, inhaling her ever calming scent of roses.
“I love you, Maa.” Elio whispered meeting Diana’s loving gaze, “I love you too, my Elio.” The Luna replied fondly, breaking into a smile as well.
Alwyn and Maia felt overwhelmed too, looking at the reunion, as they stood across the bed hand in hand, with fond smiles on both their faces.
“You two come here too.” Elio invited his friends in a group hug, which they gladly accepted.
“Shall I inform the Alpha, that Luna has woken up?” A nurse asked politely, since Stephan was in a meeting with the officials.
“I’ll go myself, nurse Selena, he’d be surprised to see me.” Elio replied with a smile.
The nurse was a little hesitant, because she knew the officials were a little too narrow minded, but she couldn’t refuse when she saw the Omega so happy and excited.
Elio and his friends proceeded towards the meeting room of the main pack house and the Omega knocked on the hardwood door impatiently, he was missing his father a lot and he knew his dad would be yearning to see him too.
What he didn’t predict was to be greeted with the displeased and offended faces of the officials, who were everything but happy to be interrupted by a lowly Omega.
“Elio!” The Omega snapped his attention to the overjoyed face of his father, who rushed towards him from the center of the table and lifted him in his arms, as he swirled him around in utter joy, without a care.
The pack Alpha forgot all about the meeting and the officials, the moment he saw his son’s healthy and gleaming face.
The Omega burst into a fit of giggles, as his father spun him and placed him on his feet, engulfing him in a tight hug.
Elio then spotted Alpha Ryan a few steps behind his father and ran to embrace him too.
“Thank you so much, Alpha Ryan.” Elio whispered to the Alpha, who had bent on his knees to hug him.
“I should be thanking you, Elio.” Ryan replied, while ruffling the smiling Omega’s fluffy brown hair.
The Council members were sitting with bored expressions, glaring at the loudly giggling Omega occasionally.
“I have had enough, don’t you know Stephan, Omegas are not supposed to enter in official meetings, much less interrupt them, have you not taught your male Omega some manners?” A conceited Alpha named Darius slammed his hands on the table, as he stood up, offended by the disregard of respect.
“Seat yourself back down Darius and watch what you speak in front of me.” Stephan growled in anger, taking a few steps towards the prejudiced Alpha, but he was held back by Ryan.
“This is absolutely intolerable, I cannot stand here anymore in the presence of this Omega, ask him to leave.” Darius demanded stubbornly.
“I am sorry Alpha Darius, but this is my father’s pack, if you can’t stand my presence then it should be you who should leave, not me.” Elio spoke up, his head held high, as he made direct eye contact with Alpha Darius.
The shocked silence of everyone in the room spoke volumes, the officials looked at each other with wide eyes, while Alpha Ryan tried to control his laughter and Alpha Marrok stood with a proud smile.
“You heard my son, Darius, the door is that way.” Stephan said with a smirk.
Enrique rubbed his shoulders to steal some warmth, as he scrutinized the thick clouds overhead.A spike of piercing lightning forced him to look away from the sky, when his gaze fell on the small gathering around the pack infirmary. He could not see clearly through the window, but it appeared like an emergency in the middle of the night, he could make out the silhouettes of the pack nurses and Elio and Adrian among a few unfamiliar ones. His feet moved automatically towards the door, he would do anything for those two at this point, Elio and Adrian had become important people in his life, it was because of them that his existence had become purposeful again. He was aware the pack Alpha was unavailable at the moment, and in his absence a commotion near the infirmary didn’t seem like good news.He took hurried steps towards where Elio was now standing, helping a stranger remove his overcoat and checking him for injuries, and damn did the stranger look bloodied.“Like I said, it is not my
Adrian gently pushed the door open into his spacious room, as he put the smiling Omega back onto his feet, on the soft hardwood floor.Elio inhaled the refreshing, mahogany scent of the Alpha that lingered everywhere in the room, it was an oddly familiar feeling, coming back here again after a handful years. There was the same large bed next to the wall, the dark curtains that swayed lightly in the moonlit breeze slipping in from the full-sized sliding window of the empty balcony, and the metal wind chime that tinkled along, most of the things in this room were the same as before, at first glance, yet there were a few changes. The little things that Elio observed, showed that the Alpha had grown up with time. There were twin longswords hanging on the far wall, a small writing desk with a stack of scrolls and papers, occupied a warm corner by the hearth. The rosewood shelf across the room was bigger now and fuller with different books and metal badges, signifying Adrian’s various achie
Adrian, Elio, and their friends reached pack Nova by early dusk, they were warmly welcomed by the representative pack members and everyone seemed elated to be in their presence. The residents of the Nova pack were very excited to meet their Alpha heir’s friends, they pretended to go about their everyday chores out in the fields, with an actual intention to catch a glimpse, of the most famous young wolves of their generation. There were hushed noises of awe, surprise, and heartfelt gushes, especially as the wondering eyes of the crowd fell over the chattering Omega whose hands were entwined softly, with their brightly grinning Alpha. Elio and Adrian were in the spotlight even as they merely walked towards the Fenrys residence. The people had not seen Adrian be this comfortable with anyone other than his father, everyone could immediately tell that Elio meant a lot to him. There was no denying that there were substantial rumors about the male Omega, ever since the events of the rog
Elio had been to the Nova pack, a couple of times before when he was younger, but this time, felt a whole lot different for him. They were going to Adrian’s pack to meet his friends according to what they had planned, and it pushed the dainty little Omega’s nerves to the edge, thinking about all sorts of things, while sitting cross legged on the bed. What kind of impression would he have on his Alpha friends, would they judge him? would he be able to act normally in front of Alpha Fenrys? Will he end up embarrassing everyone? All these questions were driving him anxious.“Elio?” Adrian’s voice snapped him out of his internal panicking and he turned to look at the Alpha who had just stepped out of the bathroom. He was freshly showered, his hair dripping wet, dampening the plain white shirt he had on.“I asked you for a towel,” The Alpha repeated and purposely ruffled his drenched hair to sprinkle droplets of water on Elio, who giggled and reached for the towel near the cupboard, but th
“Let go of me, please, let go!” A high-pitched voice resonated amidst the deserted forest, situated near the pack borders of the Cypress that appeared dark and eerie, surrounded by dense vegetation clogging the moonlight.“What did you think, you could escape you disgusting little wench!” A deeper voice answered and the sound of agonizing screams accompanied, as the two bulky figures began kicking a collapsed whimpering bundle on the rocky ground.“No, please!” The petite male cried, “please let me go, I won’t ever try to run away again, I beg you!” The young boy pleaded clutching his abused stomach, and weakly struggled to a kneeling position, using the leftover strength in his frail, bruised arms.“This is what you deserve, you thankless whore, we have shown mercy letting such a lowlife breed like you to stay in our chambers despite being rejected twice and this is how you repay us!” The taller
Elio was impatiently tapping his foot waiting for Adrian to return from the infirmary, since he had got a lot of rest the entire day, the petite male couldn’t sleep a wink, and he was only looking forward to spend his time cuddling with the Alpha, while being all warm and snug in his safe arms. It was a little selfish on his part to make Adrian stay the night, but the Omega couldn’t help it because he had really gotten used to the Alpha’s calming presence. Honestly, if it were up to him, the Omega would have preferred for the Alpha to stay forever, but then again, he didn’t have the courage to say that to him, nor the right. Adrian was an Alpha heir, and he definitely had more important responsibilities than to hang around a silly Omega, who was secretly crushing on him. Elio had finally let himself admit that he had a crush on his best friend, which was obviously only the half-truth, the Omega still didn’t allow his heart to proclaim the more transpa
