I stood to the side with a smile as Morning was celebrated. Her facial expression warmed my heart.Yes, it may have been the case that the Alpha was grossly misunderstanding the situation. But this was actually the best outcome for us.The reason we didn’t go to the pack to warn them about the hunters in the first place was because of how territorial wolves could be. I knew that they would capture us first if we were lucky. There was no way it could work. Phoenix and I got dressed and quickly left our house.It was a strange feeling to say the least. After everything that and happened, we were leaving a house all alone. We had been traveling with the others for so long, that it just being the two of us felt very different.
