Chapter: CHAPTER 275: EPILOGUE- LYCAN KING LIAMOne year later. ... I sat down in my throne and looked down at my subjects. The throne was the tallest thing in the room, much larger than the old one Alpha Conrad used to use. And it was only fitting of course. I was ten times the man that old coot had been. “Lord Alpha, the last of the rebel packs in the pack lands have submitted to you. Now the entirety of the pack lands belongs to you as is rightfully so.” Colton said. I smiled at the words. This was what I had dreamed of for so long. And finally I had come out of the shadow of the great while wolf bloodline. My body melted into my throne with satisfaction. After a year of siege I had finally conquered every single pack in the pack lands. It has taken many times longer than I expected. If everything has been straight forward then maybe I could have pulled off such a fear within a mere months. But when they noticed that most of the more powerful packs had been taken out, the weaker ones reacted by abandoning their terr

Chapter: CHAPTER 274: PHOENIX Magnus screamed at the pain. The sound permeated the entire room due to the lack of noise. My eyes widened as I couldn’t believe that I had actually gotten him. It had only been a last ditch effort on my part. I would have died if it didn’t work. Magnus fell to his knees. He gritted his teeth and touched the dagger. But then he removed his hand from it, rethinking what he was about to do. Instead, his eye went to the book he had dropped. He reached for it. But I was already there. I dove and smashed into him. We both landed on the ground hard, but he took most of the impact himself. “You bastard!” Magnus shouted. But my fist landed on his face before he could say anything else. I hit his face again. My face only showed focus and nothing else. Magnus raised a hand to try stopping me, but it was the blackened hand and it was extremely weak. I was easily able to push it away and punch him again. Roughly pushing away his blackened hand seemed to hurt him more than the punches.

Chapter: CHAPTER 273: PHOENIX “Now do you understand!? Do you understand how it is hopeless for you!?” Magnus laughed. I had been running around the church while barely avoiding the explosions. It felt like my entire body had been pummeled. I had no idea how I could ever win a fight like this. I managed to reach the rest of the group. “How are we going to beat this guy?” Rowena asked. “I have no idea. What is he doing with that book exactly?” I asked. “I’ve heard of it before, but I’ve never seen one. It’s a grimoire. It’s a conduit of power between all realms. He’s using magic.” Rowena explained. “Magic? Is that how he got younger?” I asked with gritted teeth. That was why he had gotten stronger in sword play. “Wait there’s a magic spell to get younger? I’m definitely interested in that.” Carter said. “But we need to take this man out first. And we’ll do that by attacking him with everything we have.” Carter was already out of his trousers, and his body began to change. In no time he had turned into a bla

Chapter: CHAPTER 272: PHOENIX “You are a crazy old man.” Magnus laughed. “Don’t you get it, there’s nothing old about me anymore!” I scowled at him. Somehow, what he was saying was the truth. His face looked very young. It was the same face of the man who had first adopted me and brought me in. It brought back many memories I would have rather left buried. This was the confrontation that I had been anticipating for a long while, but it wasn’t going in the direction that I expected it to go at all. What did Magnus do to make him so much younger? It was a question I couldn’t answer at the moment, so I pushed it out of my mind. “It doesn’t matter, I’ll still beat you!” I told him as I charged in again. Magnus was able to counter my attacks again, but this time he moved in for the offensive. Slowly I was moved to the back leg as I avoided and dodged his attacks. It went on like that till I moved slightly too slow one time. There was a thin cut across my chin and a line of blood splashed out. We both disengage

Chapter: CHAPTER 271: PHOENIX “Morning?” My voice cracked as I said her name.Morning was completely naked and in the hands of a tall well built man. He held her by her neck and upright. Morning’s body had various burns on it and she was gasping for air in his hands. I had no idea what had happened in this hall, but after seeing the sight in front of me, I couldn’t care less.“Let go of her you bastard!” I drew my sword and dashed forward. The crazed eyes of the man who held Morning moved to me. They met with mine and he smiled.“Peter, so you’ve decided to visit me?”The rage in my mind turned to confusion. Who was this? He sounded and looked familiar, but how was that possible?“Magnus?” The man let go of Morning’s neck and her naked body slumped the ground.“Is this your dog? I never took you as one to do something like that, but don’t worry she’s still alive. I need her for other purposes.” Magnus said.I couldn’t believe my eyes. It was Magnus who stood in front of me, but why did he look so young? He notice

Chapter: CHAPTER 270: PHOENIX I sat at a desk, thinking. What would be the best way to attack the church?I had been an invocate myself once, so I knew that at it’s headquarters the church was very powerful. They would easily have hundreds of invocates in ground. Those kind of forces would be far too much for us. Attacking them in a head front attack would only be suicide. As much as I hated to admit it, the best option would be to treat this as an assassination. Magnus himself was the target and not the church. If it was only one man then it simplified everything drastically.I had beaten Magnus before and now it would be even easier to do that. If that was all we needed to do then it almost felt like taking the whole crew would be over kill. But it wouldn’t be that simple of course. Magnus was an important figure and it was very possible I wasn’t the only one who had ever thought of assassinating him. He would be well protected. So we would need a way to get past that. And still escape when we finished the job.

Chapter: CHAPTER 156Julietta cackled. "What's yours? What exactly is that? Did your little Alpha toss you aside after he finished using you? Did he send you away? Is that why you came crawling back?" She was standing on the podium, making no effort to.walk towards me, so I remained where I stood, gazing at her evenly. Once upon a time, I wanted us to be close. I yearned for that sisterly bond between us, somehow deluding myself that if that happened, Hugo and my mother would treat me better. I was a fool. By now, the pack members left in the pack had gathered in the square, watching us with whispers. "Are you really that stupid, Julietta?" I asked softly. "Because of your misplaced desire for revenge, did you really send your pack members off to die?" She laughed. "Die! Whatever gave you that idea? I sent them to drag a murderous traitor back, but you've saved us the trouble, I see. That's just as well. I wouldn't mind seeing the Bloody Prince fall after everything he's done." I laughed too. "You

Chapter: CHAPTER 155: IRISIRIS We were dumped in the middle of the woods, so disoriented that most of us staggered a bit, and lost our balance. We looked around. "Where are we?" Vanya asked, just as I realized she was here with us. Had she been part of the team to go to Red Moon from the start, or did Cassian somehow make her follow me here so she could keep guarding me?Deciding that now wasn't the time to ask such questions, I got to my feet and helped Lily up too. "These are the woods outside Red Moon Pack," I said. "I recognize it. We are at most a ten minute walk away from the pack. Five minutes if we hurry." Kelvin dusted off himself and looked around. "We should focus on stealth instead of haste," he said. I agreed with him. "Then let's go," I said. Right before I'd left the house, I'd grabbed my dagger and strapped it to my waist. Kelvin extended something to me now. It was a gun in a thigh holster. I accepted it with thanks, only now noticing that every single person in the group was armed

Chapter: CHAPTER 154: CASSIANCASSIANI felt a sharp pain in my heart as my mate disappeared, and forced it away. I was worried for her and I was scared, but that wouldn't help me or her now. I need to be focused on the present. After the spell, Saoirse was pale as she walked to the edge of the wards. "Are you alright?" I asked her. She shook her head. "Just running a bit low on power. I'll renew the wards, but if the other witch is strong enough, it won't make much of a difference. They'll fall soon."I nodded. I'd been expecting this. I was ready to fight. We waited with bated breath as Saoirse worked, her and the other witch engaged in a silent battle of wills. After what felt like an hour but was only a few minutes, Axel stepped forward again. "I never thought I'd see the day when the Bloody Prince would hide behind the petty tricks of witches instead of standing and fighting like a true Alpha," he sneered. As usual, I ignored him, having nothing to say to him. The only thing I wanted was to get my han

Chapter: CHAPTER 153Whenever Cassian and I slept, our mindlink was always left open since our metal defenses were down. Which was why I heard Max clearly when he yelled at Cassian through the pack mindlink. "ALPHA! THERE'S AN AMBUSH!"Cassian and I were immediately jolted out of sleep, sitting up in bed. "What?" Cassian asked Max. "Where?""The east border!" Max shouted back. "Red Moon and Ironwood soldiers are here!""All of them?" "All of them! Get your—"Max cut off abruptly, closing the mindlink. "Max?" Cassian called, getting out of bed in a hurry and racing to the closet. "Max!" He came back out, a pained expression on his face. "He's been wounded," he said to me. My eyes widened as I got out of bed too, catching the shirt Cassian tossed at me. "Let's go." We both dressed minimally in case we had to shift, and raced out of the house. Just as we did, the blare of the alarm sounded. I'd glanced at a clock as Cassian and I left the house. It was almost two in the morning. Pack members were
