Day 16: Part 3
The next day Chance and Kara both were on time, and yet they were swamped with so much work that they barely got some time to breathe. From running around from here and there, to tending to a lot of patients, which was more than they had seen. It was a bit messy and tiring.
“Damn, it’s so exhausting.” in their tiny lunch break, Kara groaned.
“Yeah, but it’s also nice.” Chance shrugged.
Kara stared at Chance with a deadpan look, as if Chance had gone crazy or something. When Chance didn’t continue, Kara added, “Please tell me you were being sarcastic.”“What?” Chance blinked. “No, I wasn’t. I mean, it was kind of fun.” Chance shrugged. "We got to learn so much".

“I am so glad I am done with Orthopedics”, Chance groaned as he chugged down on the food. “Good morning sleepyhead” Kara greeted me as I walked into the ER prior to my morning shift while I yawned. “Had a rough night”? She asked.“Just, some trouble sleeping” I shrugged. She narrowed her gaze and eyed me suspiciously before leaving to get settled. In our duty, it was almost impossible to not be able to fall asleep. We are usually so exhausted that we barely have any time to do anything else. Day 2 "Someone looks happy" Terence's senior, Dr. McGrath smirked. "I got laid," Dr. Tyson declared with a prideful smirk. "About time" his senior cheered. "So, you're back to dating, huh?" Dr. McGrath teased. "No, I'm keeping it casual. I'm not ready for a relationship. Not yet". Shrugged Dr. Tyson. "I suppose that's fair." Dr. McGrath nodded. "So, how did you meet this guy?". "I met him in a bar" Dr. Tyson Shrugged. "Since when do you go to bars?" Dr. McGrath tilted his head and asked. "Well, I figured why not," Dr Tyson shrugged.

The next morning, Chance found himself waking up in the lavish apartment that belonged to the one and only Dr. Tyson (which, by the way, Chance still couldn't believe). As he stared at his surroundings, he noticed it was almost afternoon, and that this was the longest he had slept ever since his internship started. Chance couldn’t sleep comfortably or for long in the places that were unknown to him, which is why he would stay awake the entire night in the night shifts, but somehow in the mix of soft mattress and being incredibly tired, he slept quite peacefully. Still, Chance woke up before Dr. Tyson, who was sleeping soundly letting out soft snores. “Someone is in a good mood” Kara commented as she noticed the glee on Chance’s face as he walked in for his morning shift. Chance, looking refreshed, for the morning shift, was indeed a rarity. "Yeah I slept well," Chance replied. "No… this is different" Kara pried. "I've known you for far too long, good sleep is not your cue. The glow you have is like…" She tried very hard to think. "Ahh… you had sex". "Of course I did. You know about my deal with Dr. T" Chance rolled his eyes. "Yes, but so far you've been miserable. But you seemed to have enjoyed it this time. I wonder what changed"? Kara smirked. "You really want explicit details of my sex life"? Chance asked with a sly smirk.

When Chance finally opened his eyes, he noticed he was lying on the floor, mostly naked with a shirt or something covering his private areas. There were two things he could tell immediately. He was uncomfortable as hell with body aches all over from sleeping on the floor, and that it was way too early in the morning. He remembered last night offering the bed, yet again, but Terrence claimed to be too tired, so he simply offered Dr. T the couch while he slept on the floor. Yes, after going on about four to five rounds, he was that tired. But now that he woke up groggy and uncomfortable, all he really wanted was to sleep in bed. Mainly because Kara usually avoided coming to Chance's house because it was quite far from the hub, citing that returning from this area has always been a hustle. “Whoa? What did the Table ever do to you”? Dr. McGrath asked as he noticed his junior almost dig a hole with an instrument kept on the table. Dr. Tyson blinked and noticed how much he had scraped the table. He looked at his senior apologetically and with puzzled eyes, evoking concern in the former, “Are you alright?” He sat down next to Dr. Tyson. “I haven’t seen you do this for over a month.
