Family Company

The day after I took up my position as CEO of Pravinhaya Corporation, I decided to check all the corporate issues. In a marathon time I call the management director of each division. It wasn't  I doubted late Farhan's capability when he ran the company. Somehow I had a feeling as a business woman that things weren't right had happened. Farhan often lacks strict and is too kind. It is a weakness that many people often take advantage of.

In the fouth day  of division examinations, and suddenly the door of my office knocked down. I didn't even let somebody there to come in, the door was wide open. A pair of shameless persons entered my Chambers.

"Gendiiis, how are you, baby? I miss you." The woman in a sexy dress with thick makeup and dark red lipstick said as she walked up to me tapping her high heels on the floor.

"Uncle also misses you. I bet you miss your family too, isn't it, girl?" A bloated man with a half-bald head walked up to me.

"Aunt, uncle, please sit down. I still have to check some paperwork. You can wait a while." I said as I pointed to the sofa on the left side of my desk.

They were astonished. Momentarily transfixed. Before they finally stepped up and sat down on the sofa like I told to them

Both were half brothers of my late father. As the manager of the production and marketing division they should have been here since my first day in. It's already the fourth day and they just show up with some serious intimacy.

It's not something I just found out that they're both screwed-up. Since my father still alive,  both had done things as their own way. Not to mention other cases of corporate fraud they've already committed. But I remember my father fired them. So how did they end up in this company again?

While examining some documents, my tail eyes glanced at the two of them sitting nervously. It's like the sofa turned into a burning chair that made their ass burn and hot. I smirked.

As soon as the files are checked, I call my secretary on intercom, "Silvi, come to my room."

A few seconds later my secretary comes in. She seemed surprised to see two people sitting in my office then she is saying hello to them, "Mr. Rio. Mrs. Nathasa, how are you?"

Before they respond to Silvi's greetings, I call her immediately. "Silvi, come here!"

"Eh yes ma 'am, sorry." She said as she approached my desk.

I handed her the stack of files. Before she left the room I gave some orders. "Silvi, please call Fitri to come here. Ask her to bring me the files I asked for. Please bring me the files I wrote on this paper."

I handed the girl a piece of paper in my handwriting that she needed to bring and to pass on Fitri.

"Yes, ma 'am. I'm going out." She answered politely as she left my room.

After Silvi came out, I looked at the two of my relatives busy squeezing their own fingers. I smirked again.

"Where have you been, auntie? Forgot about work on vacation?" I implied both with the fact that since my husband died they rarely show up for work. Even in the last three weeks they haven't even checked in.

"Eeh ... eeehm sorry,  Ndis. I can't come to your husband funeral day. For it coincided with Maria's graduation." She said.

"Yeah, I am so sorry too  Ndis. I can't come because I have to visit Singapore with my youngest child to examine her health. We're sorry for your lossing."

Instead of answering my questions, they're trying to change direction of conversation. I didn't expect them to come back to my grief.

"Oh yes, thank you. Then it's all over for Maria's school and your youngest child health aren't they?" I asked again. I never left my chair.

"Iii iii Iiyees. Its over." Nervous she answered my questions.

"Good for you. It just so happened that I wanted to ask you about problems in the production and marketing division." I said, get up and walk towards the sofa.

Both froze. They must have been surprised at what I said they didn't expect.

Before both of them answered, my door knocked from the outside. After I let in, Fitri and Silvi enter the room.

"Ms. Chua, here's the report you asked for." Silvi handed me a blue folder containing several report sheets inside. Then she go out

I asked Fitri to sit next to me. We sat on the sofa across from my aunt and uncle. I checked the files Fitri gave me.

"Uncle and auntie can explain to me, why did you ditch these names after dad died?" I asked while handing them a piece of paper containing the names of employees who I knew were completely loyal to the company.

Each of them read the paper I marked. Their two faces scowled. "Girl, here's what I can tell you. They're street mice your dad picked up and got a job here. But their actions cost harmful the company, Dear."

"Yeah, that's right. Getting rid of them will only cause our company to collapse." Aunt supports uncle Rio's preposterous explanations.

I froze. Let them take the fall for their actions. I did search through the names of all the old employees that I didn't see when I walked into this company. Firman has said that they were dismissed on trumped - up charges. Both felt as the owner of the company and intended to take the CEO's position from Farhan's hand.

All the time they kept shouting that Farhan took away the CEO's position by force. It's a family company. They feel more entitled to be step brothers of the late Mr. Chua.

"Fine. Then what does it all mean? Why does the company's fund go into uncle and aunt's personal accounts?" I asked again, presenting the evidence of the bank account that Fitri had brought to their faces.

My uncle and aunt blushed red. Cold sweat rolled out of their faces. "Aah, about that matter Farhan had knew. Overall we are a family. The company's profit is also for the family. So it's only natural that I and your uncle should take our share." The plump lady answered without shame.

"A family company, Aunty, Uncle? Since when?" I asked as I looked back at him with a derision on his face.

"Of course it's a family company. Uncle and aunt helped your father raise the company. Without the two of us maybe the company wouldn't grow to be big just like now." Answered the uncle with a rising voice.

"What are the surname of uncle and aunt by the way? I'd forgotten." I was fishing the truth out of their mouth

"Hahaha. Gendiis ... Gendiis. So because of too busy with your late husband's family make you forget our own surname. I'm Mario Vivaldi Chow. Your aunt is Tan Natasha Gabriella. Keep that in mind." Rio's uncle burst out laughing at my stupidity.

"Oooh so uncle surnamed is Chow while a surnamed of aunt is Tan." I nodded my head, thinking as a fool.

"Then we're not one  family anyway. Papa and I are named Chua. Which means this company is not a family company. And you both don't deserve a single piece of the company's profits." I continued leaning my back against the sofa.

Both my aunt and uncle were surprised. Their faces turned red with shame and anger. Their hands are clenched over their lap. While Fitri looked at me with a smile and silently raised her thumb up.
