Parasites

"Then we're not one family anyway. Papa and I are named Chua. Which means this company is not a family company. And you both don't deserve a single piece of the company's profits." I continued leaning my back against the sofa.

Both my aunt and uncle were surprised. Their faces turned red with shame and anger. Their hands are clenched over their lap. While Fitri looked at me with a smile and silently raised her thumb up.

"You can't be that naive. We helped your father raise the company from the start. Between your father and our parents there is a bond of brotherhood. Of course this company also means our company. Didn't your grandfather build this company? Your grandfather was our papa. That means we have a right to this company." Uncle Rio tried to explain their rights to the company.

"The one I know that my grandfather was grandmother's third husband. Neither of you are from the same father. How can you call my grandfather as your papa? While you were away when grandpa was sick and this company was on the verge of collapse? You didn't show up until you heard dad was running the company successfully." I tell all the truth to those two shameless people.

"You were just the third generation child who dont know any shit,  Gendis! What do you know about the history of this company? Without the link between the two of us, how big could it be? So don't get your head blown off!" Uncle Rio cursed at me while standing up and pointing his index finger at me.

Natasha, meanwhile, calmly said: "There will be a meeting with the management and the stock holder in two weeks. Let's see who gets the right to be the CEO here."

"Dear Auntie, Pravinhaya Corporation is a private corporation. Not a public company. Even the share was go public, but 55 percent of the shares already go public still belong to the company. So the ownership of the company will determine who is the rightful CEO of this company." I provoked their error.

"It's no use talking to an ignorant arrogant kid. Let's wait for the management meeting results. Come on, Nat. there's no point in talking to her." Uncle Rio, get up and take auntie Natasha to go out from my office.

I just smirked at their departure. Treasure turns them blind. They forgot one thing: the current holding company deed which safe properly in the deposit box.

Fitri patted me on the shoulder and said, "You are so impressive. This is the real Ms. Chua. I'm sure the company will grow better in your hands, Sis."

I returned her words with a smile. Then ask her to call Mr. Ridwan Singgih, a family and company lawyer. Also I ask Fitri to contact with the Banyu Biru, the notary who issued the company's abounding will of my grandfather to me, his only living grandchild.

In the meantime, I'll ask Silvi to find out about Mr. Subandono, the accountant and my father's personal aide. Also Mrs. Lintang's address, the head of human resources at the time papa was still taking care of this company.

After I found out the address of that two important person, with Fitri escorted me to Mr. Subandono's house which was far on the side out of town. Not a bad bit of mileage for us to cover.

When I got to the house, I saw Mr Suban, as I was calling him, sitting on his porch. He seemed to set in his reverie until he didn't see anyone coming.

"Assalamualaikum." My word broke his reverie.

"Waalaikum salam,. Ms. Vita? Oh god, Ms. Vitaaa. Roseee ... come here. There's Ms. Vita!" He was surprised and became rather self-conscious of my unexpected visit. He called his wife.

From inside his wife comes forth, blurting out to answer his call. When she saw me, Mrs Suban's wife was crying and hugging me. "Miis ...  oh my God. Really this is Ms.Chua. How are you doing? How did you get here?" She asked between her sob.

"Eehm ... I'm fine. Can I sit down?" I asked along and release of Mrs. Suban's hug. To be honest, I'm tired and thirsty after a three-hour drive.

"Ooh, yes of course. I'm sorry, miss. We forgot to ask you to come in." Mrs. Suban blushed and then invited me into the living room.

After sitting I will convey my intention of coming to Mr Suban. He was surprised. Didn't think I'd come and get him to come back to work at my company.

"Miss, do you believe in me? What would people say if I came back? While all the people in the company found out I was being expelled for embezzling funds from the firm." Said Mr Suban had hesitated to accept my offer.

"That's just a slander, isn't it, Sir?" I asked him while giving him a file with my research on him.

It was true that before deciding to bring Mr Suban and Mrs. Lintang back to the company, I had assigned papa's trusted people to investigate both of them and other things that I thought were odd at the company.

"Of course it's all slander, Miss. Mr. Rio was furious that I was auditing the company's funds at the production division. Production costs are overpaid and off-the-books. He got angry and turned to slander me in front of the late Mr. Farhan who just only a month he became  CEO." Mr. Suban's words explained the truth to me.

Fix. Exactly that's all what I got from papa's trusty detective. I just can't wait to finish this interesting game in my company.

"Then help me. I'll raise the pay. It will be higher from before. Including the benefits you will receive. I thought the salary would be sufficient for your considerable time of devotion." I said as I clasped my hands against my chest.

"Help Ms. Chua, honey. It's too bad if she's fighting alone. Wasn't Mr. Chua also asking about it? We have to look after and help his daughter." Mrs. Suban answered as she walked back to the living room. Bring some drinks and some snacks.

"Come on, girls. Drink it first. It must be a long trip here. Lucky you both didn't stray. I'm sorry our house is so far in the suburbs." She smile and speaking.

Squeeze me with a cup of tea. I smiled and greeted the teacup. We had a chat about a plan to save the company from the parasites that quietly undermined the host where it was squatting. After I thought enough of what I had to say, I said goodbye. Then went on to Mrs. Lintang's house which was not too far from Mr. Suban's.

From Mrs. Lintang I found it clear that many of daddy''s loyal persons were dismissed casually by two parasites, daddy's half brother.

Even though Farhan was CEO at the time, he couldn't prevent it and couldn't do much because that greedy man reasoned that Pravinhaya Corporation was a family corporation. I knew it before.  Our Farhan's good deed was the boomerang harnessed by both parasites. Furthermore he doesn't know the history of the establishment of this company.

One thing still makes me wonder, what exactly is the reason of my dad made my late husband CEO of that company? If I end up in this position anyway. Was it because of his anger and disappointment that I converted? But shouldn't daddy know that my love of mas Farhan who made up my mind and decided became a Moslem?

Ah, this piece of the puzzle makes my head beat. Sooner or later I'll have to figure out the answer. Now let me focus on how to get rid of those two parasites.
